Having memories of 100 years or 400 years does not make her an adult. In her 18th life, physically, biologically, emotionnally, she was still a 12yo teen and it is possible to fall in love with another kid because it is love or puppy love. There is no need for a brainstorming. The feelings just happen.

It is the magical and beautiful part of the story. She is reincarnated in a vessel "perfect" to keep the promise she made in her 18th life. But I am sure if she was reborn as some dudebro in Iceland, he could still find a way to keep the promise. This is a good idea for a spin off....

So far there is not a lot of information about how she is dealing with it. I think it is because she makes the pain sorrow and loss not influence her current life. This is why she can be a bright young woman in her 19th life. If she had to cumulate all the pains and sorrow and loss, she would just commit suicide everytime her memories are back.

Why do you assume she is the same person throughout her different lives when sometimes she is a man, sometimes she is a woman? Do you think that when a baby is conceived and his brain evolves until it reaches the stage of a teen's brain and then an adult's brain in his late 20s, it does not influence the personality of the person? How can you say that a 9yo or a 12 yo with a brain less developed than an adult is an adult? Does the knowledge or memories make you an adult? Is a genius doctor at age 12 an adult if he enters medical school and his fellow students are 23?

When she is 12yo she is a teen. When she is 9yo, she is a kid. The fact that she his more mature than other children and she can acquire skills because she used them in her previous lives does not make her an adult. Physically, emotionally, she is 9yo and she must grow up and go to school to learn new knowledges and become an engineer and a real adult.

You question her sexual orientation because you assume she is the same person throughout her 19 lives. It is not the case. People will understand it differently according with their religion, spiritual beliefs... but there is a theory that reincarnation is about a soul being reborn. Every time it is reborn, it is comfortable with the body it is born in or...the person changes sex . I believe during each of its reincarnation, she/he is fine with her/his body and living fully as a man or a woman. I could even say if she was reborn as a man in her 19th life, he could still find a way to look after the ML as promised to his dying mother.

Yes she does remember but it means she never lived her next life in connection with the previous ones. For example if she had kids or family, she never used her next life to check on them. This is the first time she uses her next life to check on people of her previous one. It is a complete change.

I thought the two first eps were cute and shinny and glossy but the chemistry between the two leads still needs to build up. They are presented separately with their own life and struggles and then they are put in awkward situations together but the magic is not there yet. It is just misunderstanding. It is a nice start but I need sparkles between them.

Like I said to you, you are free to see her like you want. If for you, when she turns 9 and gets her memories back, she becomes overnight a super woman in the body of a kid trying to abuse another kid then good for you.

I believe her past lives tell her who she was and what she knew but it does not mean she is the same person and she knows the same things. I believe her personality was shaped by her youth and she went to the school of gifted kids somehow and she obtained a degree in engineering at KAIST and that was because of her efforts. Not because of her past lives.

You can keep you arrogant advices for yourself or I will have to block you.

If this is true it would mean that once her memories are back, she is transformed into a totally different person with knowledges dating from centuries and her upbringing from 0 to9 years have no impact on her personality and her character. It would mean the body she lives in does not determine her temper, her health and or her physical abilities. She just technically cannot be the same person.

Who said in her previous life she used to dance flamenco or play accordion? Who said she did not practice? You don't know it yourself. You just assume she used to and this is why she is so good at it overnight. But is it overnight? I don't think your body can do the right moves if you never trained it. If you remember you used to play tennis, I don't think you go on the court and are Roger Federer immediately. It takes muscle memory. Do you think you remember you used to speak arabic in another life and your tongue of the present life can make the right sound and right pronouciation when it never made it?

You want to see her like a superwoman once her memories are back but not me. I believe her past life helps her understand things and make her choices about what she want to learn and achieve. But I don't think she turns into a Wonder Woman overnight and she faked her resumé. I believe she worked hard to have the engineering degree from KAIST she has, the resumé she has and the skills she has to be better than the one she was in her previous lives.

I think you misunderstand the character. She is not one person who lives an immortal life through reincarnation and she keeps each time the knowledge and competences, skills... she acquired throughtout all her lives or she woudl be a female version of Elon Musk or Steve Jobs today.

She is a different person each time with a different body and personality and she has to use her brain cells to educate herself and lead her new life properly. Her past lives are like movies or dreams she remembers. If you dreamed that you spoke english with a perfect accent or you built a plane, it does not mean you are able to do it after you wake up. It is the same thing for her.

Her new person is shaped from birth to 9yo when she has nothing of these memories and the smart and courageous 9yo Ji Eum was shaped by her difficult youth and her nice personality. Not because she lived 18 lives before and found out how a kid should be. She was like that before reaching 9 and finding her memories. And when her memories come to her, it is not like Neo in the Matrix and she suddenly knows Kung Fu, arab language or how to dance Flamenco.

But ok, you can see her like a creepy Esther in the movie Orphan but honestly you are just spoiling your own experience by clinging up to an erroneous vision of the FL character.

It a special situation she chose to put herself into because she promised Ml's mother she would be here for the ML. In her previous lives, when she was dying, she wanted no memories back in her next life. So she wanted no link to her previous lives. It is the first time it happens.

After two eps the reincarnation thing is interesting and it triggers nice situations and funny dialogues. The chemistry between the adult versions of the leads is ok and will probably improve with new eps.

The 12yo teen of the 18th life was more of a quiet well educated person even if she was a bit contemptuous with the 9yo boy at first. They still became friends. The 9yo little girl of the 19th is extraordinary with a smart bold energetic personality despite family issues. I like that she kept these traits of personality after growing up.

Agree the actresses are doing a great job.

In her 18th life, she made a promise to ML's mom to be here for her son but she failed to keep the promise and died in the car accident. She told him she will find him in her 19th life but she could have be reborn a man or she could have died before reaching 9 years old. Nothing was guaranteed. She was lucky and lived as a new kid and when she got the memories of her 18th life, she remembered her promise and started to look for the ML but with her 9yo kid's behavior.

There are plenty of cases of kids having 9yo who have likings for older persons in dramas or in real life. It's not an obsession. Just an innocent liking. Maybe if the adult version of the 9yo boy was ugly and creepy like he tortures cats, she would refuse to keep her promise?

What I mean is at age 12 or 9 or 24, she is just following the good feelings she developped for him. For the first time when she was dying, she hoped she would remember him and find him again. For me it is a really nice story so far.

Personally I do not find it creepy. It s not like the FL is an adult trapped in the body of a kid and she is lustfully eyeing a 9yo boy or a 17yo student. She lives each of her lives as a different person, different body, different background, different upbringing, education, philosophy, dreams, ambitions... She is herself and acting her age.

And so what if they are dating? Let them be.

Agree the build up of their relationship was special and a kiss would have been out of place.

The actual killer who is ML's dad had no reason to kill FL's mom 34 years later.

Why the ML's father who was the killer with the matchbox would kill her when she was old and read no books and wrote no books but was just a poor old woman? Of course he had no reason to come back from the USA to kill her. Useless and too risky for him.

Maybe FL's mom in the original timeline just kept the matchbox left next to the body of her dead sister. Somehow she put her hand on it...
