He grew up into a good man. He chose his gf instead of going for his exam. When they were living together, he was all sweet with her. If he did not investigate his father's case and chose his gf and their twins (granted he did not know), they would have lived a good happy life alltogether.
His decision to go for vengeance was wrong as it made him side with the bad guys and do their evil deeds. If he wanted justice, he should have confronted them head on as a prosecutor instead of sneaking his ways next to them just to be uncovered. Hope that he regains his memory and does things the right way afterwards.

I don't think Sam Sik is a bad guy or a mean guy and I never felt like he was a bully to Kang Ho. I think he is more of a country bumpkin and not a very smart one who wants to be nice to Mi Joo because he always liked her. He has his share of wrongdoings but I see him forming a better bond with Kang Ho after Kang Ho regains his memories and some humanity.
