I am curious to know Meena's and the secretar's story but I can't believe Meena is Mink.

Even if someone saved her from drowning, that person has no right to change her into a someone he can use as a weapon and Meena cannot agree to it knowing that if she is Mink, she is the cause of everything. If she is Mink she killed Pat and let Ohm go to prison in her place and she decided herself to commit suicide. So she as no right to claim vengeance.

The only possibility is she has amnesia and if they use the amnesia trope, it would be just ridiculous.

It is known now that she has a boss and her secretary is here to put pressure on her. She is a minion for someone else. And she does not seem to be envoying what she is doing with Suchat. Maybe someone has leverage on her to force her to do something she does not really want.

If there is romance, I also think it will be the two newbies helping each other and developping together and growing feelings for each other more than newbie work with her boss and falls for him.

But who knows? They have full autonomy to choose the direction and ending they want and I have seen some drama with very unexpected endings.

There are different ways to react to an overdose of emotions. Some people physically crumble. Some break everything in the room. Some yell and leave the room. Sometimes, some people commit the worst thing like shooting an adultery partner or the man who molested their child... A judge may rule it as based on emotions and give a sentence accordingly.

But when it involve planning things on several days and weeks or harrassing someone for months and years and using minions to do anything to prejudice that person: have him beaten, abducted, detained, bleed, slapped, blocking his chance to find a job and a new life ... That' s not reacting out of emotions. That's commiting crimes against the Law out of a misplaced judgement and a will to harm and prejudice someone. No judge would rule such things as a reaction upon emotions.

Jay has to change her ways. She should be jailed for some of the things she did to Ohm already. She must grow up as a person and as a professional.

I really don't think that Meena is Mink. That would be nonsensical and it would just turn Ohm into the most stupid and laughable person ever.

Even if Jee has common sense in judging people she is still a student and acting innocent. I don't really see her with Gun who looks a doormat and a boring henchman. Maybe if the guy develops into a more gutsy man...

It is impossible that Meena is Mink. Their personalities are different like the night and the day. It would be the most far-fetched thing that the writers could only justify by the worse tropes like amnesia, adopted fake son, plastic surgery for revenge and so on...

Your theory is the most rational and less far-fetched one. Meena is possibly someone who was close to Mink and it would justify that Mink's sad fate is her justification to take revenge on Jay using her father. I don't think she would hate Ohm though. He is not responsible for Mink's depression and suicide and Meena clearly sees he is a good and caring guy.

It is also possible that Meena is Pat' ex with his son and Pat abandonned them to marry Jay and he died just before the wedding so she wants revenge on Jay because Jay "stole" her happiness and she will stop Jay from being happy with a new guy.

All this ep8 was very annoying especially when they tried to suggest that Meena is Mink. I hope wish they will stop misleading soon.

Why FL does not find herself a bf to spend her birthday with and then they go to the hotel and take a bath together? Why she needs her daddy at home for her anniversary prepared by her sister like she is still 8 years old? Going to a condo where your dad is spending some good time with a woman is a such a reckless move. Who does that kind of things?

The director and writers really love leading on the audience and dropping fake directions to mislead like with the picture or the flower bouquet. Also this silly fake coincidental birthday party turning into bs cringe situation was so convoluted...

Meena's behavior is scheming and evil she can't be Mink. Or someone put a different brain into that skull. Pretty sure the writers are also leading on here.

Next ep we will be halfway of the drama. Still nothing likeable in the FL's behavior.

Ep8 . The drama is less entertaining and more nerve wacking with wtf situations piling one after another...

I would not say he is easy. He is a nice guy. He loved Mink because she was a simple but sincere young woman so he wanted to sacrifice for her and for their child. She did not play him. It was his choice before she said anything.

He is nice so even if he is angered by FL's harassment and antics, he does not go overboard like her and he just teases her because he knows the truth is on his side. He never harmed or schemed an evil plan against anybody.

Jay is really amateur because she makes her decisions and moves based on her emotions. This is called immaturity and this is not good at the job or in the private life.

I think Meena will fall for Ohm because he is genuinely a good person but this will lead Suchat to hate him and Jay will be the jealous one.

But the name of the drama is "The Deadly Affair". And the only affair possible so far is Meena (since she is in couple with the father) with the most likely guy : Ohm.

Ohm is very cool and he has patience to bear with Jay's immature antics but it does not mean he likes her. I surely hope is does not and frankly I don't see what is libeable in this Jay. She has little qualities and so many flaws.

The trailer looks like a huge mix of everything: Republican Era, Tresure hunting, Wixia fighters and factions, a bit of fantasy maybe? ... Can be very confusing and far-fetched. This is why the writing will be determining.

Xu Kai was one of the first chinese actor new generation that I discovered with Yanxi Palace, The Legends and AMA. One actror I like to follow but lately I have been less convinced by his dramas. I think this one has potential but it can be very good or very bad.

I liked the dark tone better because FL was a more consistent character.

When FL is in the presence of ML and his friend, Win manages to lighten the athmosphere but I wish he is more than that.

I don't think it is because of guilt. It is because she is immature and stubborn and selfish. She needs to improve as a person.

If trailers scream comedy but romance? No romance with dark thriller and mystery is ok but no romance at all with comedy... ?

Pychiatrist in Joseon is a touchy subject. I hope they can deal with it in an fun and credible way (from our modern perspective).

FL looks so young and we also see her wedding in the trailer. Probably she had a short lived marriage...

It is expected as he will propably be trialed, sent to jail and then maybe he will be on the run... I like the idea that they will help each other from a distance. Ok it is sad if they are not together but they are a married couple not a couple in the making so it is fine. They should be able to cope with being apart from each other.

Agree it is confusing. Maybe the writers are keeping the option open see which couple has the best chemistry?

But so far he is just a comic relief. They need to find something useful for him to do and beef up the character.
