I think he is dead. Half his head was crushed and he was left to burn entirely. Also the fact that they ultimately showed him as a kid with the door closing behind him is like a final goodbye.

Ahh Bong seok is soooo cute, just seeing him smiling innocently makes me feel so much better.
I do not like his demeanor. He is like a 9 years kid trapped in the body of a 18 years old boy. He looks a little bit retarded the way he smiles for nothing, the way he talks, runs in a childish silly way... I hope he will mature while mastering his power.
