Wow, I almost don't know what to say. Horror was on point here and so was the heartbreak. This show was insanely creative and I applaud everyone's acting, specially my boi the dear detective Bae Sung Woo. I have some questions but for a show like this, I'm willing to ignore them and just enjoy the concept and the acting.
All I can say after watching every single show of this ridiculously hot and talented OPPA is, PLEASE WATCH BLOOD FREE also and then come scream with me because it is too damn good.
This drama is so underrated. If they make it with a slight romance it will be better and have higher score i believe…
Honestly I feel like their chemistry was too amazing to not explore further, Han Hyo Joo was brilliant with Ju Ji Hoon. All those stares, those glancing touches, the implicit trust placed in each other, the promises, the dialogue WOW
I am genuinely in awe of this wonderful show. From the very first scene you are thrust in this semi-dystopian modernist society, and the rules and norms are established in minutes without any elaborate narration or world-building. It felt like I entered a Pensieve from episode 1, and the immersive feeling never went away until the very end of the show.
ALL the actors, and I do mean ALL, stole the show here. Ju Ji Hoon was BRILLIANT in his role of a bodyguard and his intelligence and caring nature shined through. Han Hyo Joo was BRILLIANT as the controversial innovator who simply wanted to make a slightly better(different) world to live in.
I loved Seon U Jae and Oh San as well. I was able to understand every single character and their actions and follow their story with all my interest. Never skipped a single scene. It was incredibly subtle in its portrayal of sexism, and innovation in modern medicine vs its cost to humanity. And the beautiful music was a cherry on top of this decadent black-forest cake.
tldr: I WANT SEASON 2 SO BADLY OH MY GOD THIS SHOW AND ENDING WAS TERRIFIC
Ep6 shows clear differences in besties There’s also a friend like yumi and there’s this ji hye 😡
OMG pls watch Jirisan, it's a totally different show and it's eery, has a good murder mystery, and great chemistry between the characters. 16 episodes may seem like a lot but I enjoyed watching it. I left a comment on the official page of the show too, haha
This beautiful drama perfectly captures the beauty and the danger of the mountains and really makes you FEEL. The eery fog, the chills that come with being followed by a deadly spirit, or was it a wild bear? The beautiful sunsets, the prayer flowers left behind by devotees. It feels like an ode to the rangers, to Jirisan, to the spirit of the numerous people who climb mountains looking for adventure or peace or clarity or just to belong.
JJH was utterly captivating as a ranger with a traumatic past trying to save as many lives as possible, even at the cost of his own. He is unbelievably adorable as the hoobae. Every single 'case' shown was heart-warming and emotional, with the show having an added element of an amazing murder mystery at the heart of it. The end was pure poetry and the way the criminal was decimated was a work of art, and an act strong enough to convert anyone to become a mountain-believer. Loved it.
Can anyone convince me to watch this show 🙂, I just finished Love Scout and I wanna start this one cz it's…
Picture a sexy, tall Ju Ji Hoon in a black suit, giving orders, being demanding, and being the best at his job (like he always is, in each show he acts in) and thank me later :)

Please watch Vigilante! Nam Joo Hyuk surpassed all my expectations and I also left a review on the official page of Vigilante here, in case if you need a detailed review, but I loved it. I haven't yet finished Jirisan but the episodes I have seen are great so far, I will let you know how it is because now I'm gonna watch that!
This drama was wonderful. My over-passionate comments aside, this drama featured a wonderful man called Ju Ji Hoon, played by Hong Min Ki as his younger self. His character was sweet, transparent, straightforward, thoughtful, caring, kind, sexy, and endlessly charming. I gave this drama a solid 10 easily, because the last 4 episodes made up for anything else I may not have liked in the beginning.
Ju Ji Hoon was calm: He never raised his voice at anyone who did him wrong, unless it was a situation capable of becoming violent or dangerous. I find that quality in men to be extremely attractive because I love that he never even shouted at the 'friend' for what she did to the female lead, even though she would have deserved it.
Ju Ji Hoon was patient: His love for the female lead ensured that he always thought of her first, and despite her immaturity and downright rudeness in the beginning of the show, he was always cool, calm, collected with her and treated all characters in a same patient and understanding way.
Ju Ji Hoon was sexy: The way he always defended the girl, the way he let his intentions known from the very beginning, the amazing suits he wore, his charming personality, his cute relationship with his PA, his hugs, his voice and expressions (specially the last episode when he discussed a spring wedding on the sofa LMAO) he was effortlessly sexy.
Ju Ji Hoon was perfect: This man never showed any traits of toxic masculinity, despite the way she treated him he always was painfully obvious and transparent with her. Never any mind games, never any insults disguised as humor, always put effort in his relationship and dealt with violent fathers, unrequited suitors, betraying best friends and estranged grandfathers deftly, calmly, caringly, rationally, maturely, and suitably.
Episode 5 and MY GOD undoing JJH's tie never looked so tempting! This man needs to do another true romance show…
Haha it's just that I don't want new viewers to give up on the show just because I keep simping for JJH and raging on the female lead. But you are right :)
Episode 10 and OMO that hug was so cute. I don't know if it is a different kind of shooting style or what, but for some reason whenever they show JJH touching her and his suit wrinkling because of it, I can almost FEEL the hug and feel exactly how he would feel if he was hugging me. Supremely creepy I know but my admiration for him has circled back into objectification in a way.

Ohh I think JJH has so much charisma and he deserves to act against a female lead who actually likes him, the way female leads in romance shows usually do. Anyway, the show is still good because JJH and his cute character, totally worth watching

apologies, I know it's not that deep, I was expecting too much from this show I think, and so far JJH is the only one carrying this show on his back in the current timeline
