I tear up even thinking about it. It's even more heart wrenching when you realize this is the burden he's been…
as much as I love Tushan Jing, I have to admit, the person she probably would’ve went for IF their families weren’t enemies, would’ve been XL. Their love would’ve been epic if she chose him but also chaotic. She went with the safer choice. Jing still deserved her love though. I think I’m more upset that she doesn’t get to know he loved her and that he basically made sure she had a happy ending. 😭😭😭
Literally came here for Deng Wei from Love from the Divine Tree but I think I’m starting to fall for Xiang Lu (even though I know who she ends up with) 😭 Feel like I’m watching Stephen and Damon from Vampire Diaries all over again. lol
I was hooked on the first ep even though it usually takes me about 10-12 eps to get into a cdrama. However, it got draggy around ep 20. Still would recommend. Looking forward to seeing more Deng Wei in the future.
I’m actually really glad they went with the romcom route for the tone of this drama. It’s been super entertaining and enjoyable. Lots of laughable moments and easy to watch.
idk why everyone hated on this drama. I actually liked the ending and thought it made it more epic. It was a suicide mission to begin with and the fact that they all died more so felt like a happy ending bc now they’re all together. I really liked Boss Ning and he is probably one of the best ML characters I’ve watched. Don’t get me wrong, I love morally grey characters but Boss Ning is just a great breathe of fresh air. The main leads relationship was super healthy and mature. None of that nonsense/trivial fights. Before this, Legend of Fuyao was my favorite but JTL really knocked Fuyao down on my list.
ughhh with TPOB out now and A Dream Within a Dream coming out sometime this year, I don’t think we’ll get to see him in any new dramas until 2027 after this years over.
This drama had me in tears. I loved her character growth. Overall would recommend. I dropped this show like 2-3 times before I finally got into it and I am glad I finished it. The last 10 eps, I felt like they were trying to fit in too many different storylines. Too many different things happened and it felt kind of all over the place.
