There's a few reasons why she does this. Yes, I think she should have spoken up sooner but look at her mom's issues and then her annoying AF dad (he just wants to win against mom and also seems controlling and possessive. Not once does he seem to really care for TingTing or else he would change his ways and interactions with mom. Even as a "villain", he's not smart enough, like the way he's going about things , like if he really wanted to, he could be much nicer and show look I'm kind and sweet while your mom is a psycho little bish.)

It's going to sound awful but his crying mismatches the dubbing. He takes me out of the scene as I can't tell if he's supposed to be this fake crier for attention or if the actor knows he has to cry but doesn’t really know how to act it convincingly and is just scrunching his face...
