That was one of my guesses but then switched to maybe Bai Shu's mom manipulated the whole thing and played a big part in order to try to keep Bai Shu and Xiaoming away from each other and to keep her foot on Bai Shu's neck.

They never fully explained it. So they could have just finished the drama with her fainting and waking up to find out she's pregnant or something and time skip and not giving a thought to the old version of herself and since she had accepted her fate.

So we can just pretend that she never disappeared on the rooftop, maybe she fainted and they find out she's pregnant with twins and she has those two boys and it ends with them at the beach LOL or she fainted and then time skip to them at the beach with the two boys.

The ending was expected but also messed up because if she went back to the future then did she die in 1983 and everything she had worked towards just never happened and the lives of everyone didn't change except lawyer boy that magically remembered her?

Someone said this is an ABO universe but due to censorship, it's laid out enough to where you can read between the lines and they can't say it openly due to it streaming on Mainland CN platforms.

At times they are overly coddling and at other times it was sort of indifferent and in their own little world. I can only think that Nankun is a big drama queen that the friends are like unsure what to do LOL Then again the whole thing was giving turn off your brain, this is sassy, campy, and unserious...
