An easy lie would be money from loan sharks and not wanting the family to know more about it because she's embarrassed she had to do that and just not say which one. Unless in all of SK, in this drama's universe, only one loan shark company exists.

I wish they had gone deeper with some parts. Like the fact that he was given HIV and it doesn't seem like he went to some LGBT clinic where maybe they would have some counselor/someone to talk to. Join a support group. Instead, he basically I assume became undetectable by taking his medicine and never disclosed his status except to GH. Mi Ae seemed to not be so close to him. Like she wasn't part of his big life events after she got married. Like I assume they communicated but it wasn't ever fully shown. We didn't get internal monologues of other characters or even more of their stories just bits. But it's the writing in some points but also the fact that we have 8 episodes. I think if they did 16, they would have dragged some things longer unless the writer(s) could flesh out characters better, give us additional story and give us an end instead of an open ending.

He seemed like the closeted type that only does "discreet" and on the DL relationships. But seemed like he didn't see it as a relationship and would be the type to say "it is what it is" and basically be unlabeled/undefined. Like neither were like this is what I'm looking for. They were going with the flow until Go Young was like aren't we dating but it's more a non-boyfriend boyfriend. Do all the things couples do but aren't a couple type situation. Maybe that depicted real life? Maybe we can hope the characters story continued and it happened later on? That's my hope at least. I've known people who reunited 1 to 8 years later and things worked out. Sometimes you meet the right one at the wrong time and later you may meet again when its the right time. We can be realistic yet optimistic. Although an extra scene to give hope, would have been nice.
