This isn’t even scary, interesting and it’s confusing. It’s a waste of time. You’ll only enjoy this if you like gore

again jcw's wig on his instagram post is the wig from the show the fiery priest and no culture has a copy right…
please shut up if you don’t understand what cultural appropriation means. JCW shared that post with the locs to his millions of followers they will think it’s okay, it’s not okay. Why should I explain anything to an ignorant racist...? You have the internet, right?? Go search up cultural appropriation:)
On Backstreet Rookie Jul 20, 2020
So I’ve read a few chapters of the webtoon and watched a few episodes and what the f*ckkkk!!! How can they accept this role after viewing it?? It’s romanticises and sexualised minor and adult relationships saetbyul was 16/17(?) ) , it’s cultural appropriates and shows racist stereotypes of black people and it condones cheating. I’m so disappointed especially at JCW because I used to really love this guys shows and personality. I saw that Instagram post of him dancing w/ that guy in locs and wtf... I have lost respect for them.

Also one thing to add in the webtoon it shows a grown man j*rking of to a highschoo student..? Does that seem normal to you?! Of course once you accept a role for the webtoon they read a little and seeing as this was the first few pages how could they accept that? Yoojung is also young and matched the age of The original character. I hate everything about this

Edit: For the people who are saying it’s not racist I’d like you to please research. Asia is already has a bad perception of Africa and black people and this drama just makes it worse. I don’t need to explain anything to you so go research as to why it’s racist and if you think it’s not you are the problem. Ji changwook dancing with that man on instagwam condones this behaviour and don’t tell me he doesn’t know because backstreet rookie was trending internationally on twitter for his actions, you Think his pr team doesn’t know that?? Ofc he knows and then he goes off and posts that video. Also it may be slightly different to the webtoon but the fact that they picked that role is condoning this sort of behaviour and gives more recognition to that nasty webtoon. It make creeps and pedophiles think that is okay to be in love with a minor. In the original webtoon saet byul was 20 korean age present day so that means she was 16 I believe. Still disgusting they’d support a manhwa like that.

He stole the show in TKEM. I ended up skipping scene w/ LMH and LGE for this guy many times. Please give him more opportunities in the future!! He’s very versatile

big thumbs up to the cameraman/director, etc because the cinematography was out of this world. I just wish the cinematography was on par with the story:( I was so hyped up for LGE and LMH working together.

This drama was much worse than I expected. Before I leave my comment I just want to say lee min ho fans don’t attack me. Lee min ho always picks the arrogant, rich, tsundere(?) roles. For some reason, I thought This drama would be different but it’s wasn’t. The second leads story lines, even the villain was more interesting than the main couple, Their chemistry was so bad. Usually in dramas when there’s a sentimental scene I cry with them but I didn’t feel any chemistry or emotion that I just stared at them like what the f*ck and skipped those scenes. I kept telling myself to finish it as it might get better but it only got worse. Would I recommend you to watch this? no

I’m the kind of person who watches a drama till the end even if it’s bad in hopes that it might get better. I couldn’t watch this drama for one second longer. It started off really good and cute then just began to get really weird... It’s so bad compared to the manhwa. Some things were just not meant to be kdramas. They always manage to ruin book or comic adaptations in ways I wouldn’t even imagine. Save yourself time and don’t watch this

if you don’t like slow placed, quiet dramas this is not for you! Everyone is saying the drama is slow and boring but I really enjoyed it. This drama was very healing and therapeutic. It wasn’t too overly dramatic or funny it was just a little but not too much. I love how all the characters developed and learnt how to live. I really appreciate how simple and calming it was. They appreciate all the small things in life and I also learnt a lot from this. I just wish it was one or two episodes longer

The ending was very realistic and satisfying. I just wish we got to see how she’d deal with her brother. Apart from that I loved the movie. I really like these simple, quiet movies slice of life movies.
