Y’all I just saw some clips and read some more WTF - this is insanity! I cannot continue to watch this lol - *nervous laughter*. Maybe when I’m feeling that I need a really good cry. What the fuck that they go back?! ( I mean makes sense bc that’s who they are.. but DAMN) and that everything that just spirals out of control… no wonder they committed suicide. THIS IS INSANE AND I FEEL SO BAD!!!!!! this definitely deserves it accolades. For the actors, for the writers, for everybody that has been involved in breaking silence and stereotypes. THIS IS NOT FOR THE WEAK. Which I will bow down for now.

Y’all - I’m in episode 15 and my goodness… It feels like it is dragging so much!! I do not do well with sad and tragedy stories but because this is so slow, I have continued to lose interest here and there, so I haven’t really reacted as I thought I would. Maybe because this is also my fourth binge show in a week… Anyway… I do feel for the main characters and the whole story, but it really drags out way more than it should’ve! Also the fact that they keep saying their “fine” but they’re obviously not. I know it has to deal with reality but also they have the support... I just wish they could just embrace themselves… And maybe you’ll happen later.but I am pulling my hair out. since I know it will be 38 episodes I had to search where this was going and… WOW. whether they “commit suicide” by eloping metaphor is to be debated per one’s intrepetation, but the fact that other people die when they go back to the eastern country and all the chaos happens (Benjamin dying - so sad, which reminds me of how tragic it is that Jiang Li died, ugh…). Anyway, thank you all for giving me what I need for now. I think I’m just gonna let it be. Maybe I’ll come back to it. Also, anyone feel free to reply and add or correct in case that I missed things from my understanding of what I gathered.

makes sense! thank you! and tbh the second part I still loved but the whole hairpin debacle and some unnecessary misunderstandings / awk pacings and inconsistencies were indeed obvious and hard to understand/close for how strong the started. I actually re-watched recently and yeah ughh but nonetheless remains so good!!

WOW. honestly, just finished. It was trying to capture the complexities yet nuances I was happy about and the tropes that I wasn’t super happy about but after your review, I am hundred percent convinced that yes, it was done much better than I nitpicked.

Correct! I LOVED it so obvs very biased, but it seemed to me you rated it favorably haha so was just wondering why an 8.5 when it sounded like a 9/9.5.
