I am so impressed by Byeon Woo Seok's acting. Kim Hye Yoon has always been amazing in everything. But I feel like Woo Seok has really leveled up with this show.
From the despair he felt when he had to stop swimming to the elation and hope he felt when Sol returned his feelings to his latest death scene to the preview for tomorrow where he's delivering the same lines in a completely different way. He's been perfection in every single scene. So impressed.
the only thing that's gonna suck is we lost LOSER Sun JaeðŸ«
I think Loser Sun Jae is alive and well in every timeline, including this one. But now we get to watch him fall and trip all over himself as a 34 yo loser hit with love-at-first-sight.
I would watch another 16 episode season of 34 yo SunJae falling for 34 yo ImSol and time traveling too as a parallel story just for them to end up in the same timeline with all their memories.
I need you all— the people who keeps questioning Sol and wondering why she did what she did — to read this…
Agree agree agree. She's watched him die in every timeline and all her actions / decisions have been consistent and with the goal of keeping him safe. All she wants is for him to be alive and happy, even if that means never knowing her, even if that means she has to miss him desperately for her whole life.
I think the biggest disappointment for me is not Sun Jae losing his memories but my uncertainty about the storyline…
"I think the biggest disappointment for me is not Sun Jae losing his memories but my uncertainty about the storyline of this drama from now on. "
This is what I love most about this drama. I love that I never know what's going to happen next. In a landscape full of predictable dramas, Lovely Runner is the only one where I have no idea what's going to happen. I LOVE IT!
Also, y'all keep saying "everything disappeared" but it didn't. Im Sol remembers everything. Even if Sun Jae doesn't remember, it still happened and Im Sol carries it all with her. Her memory matters no more or less than Sun Jae's.
I skipped so much in ep.13, because a lot of scenes were just unnecessary and all this back and forth was just…
My theories / explainations for episode 13:
1. She says "I returned to my time and many seasons passed." My theory is that when she ran forward and pressed Sun Jae's watch (on his dead body), she was transported to right before their first meeting. She then did everything she could to avoid Sun Jae, but many of the other things still happened (like stopping the bullies from smoking, which is how she met Tae Sung and formed a friendship with him / helping him change his future from dropping out of school to becoming a police officer). THEN, "returned to my time and many seasons passed" means she returned to the time where she pressed Sun Jae's watch button on the wrist of the dead Sun Jae, when she was in college ) but he was alive in this timeline because he never met her, and she avoided meeting him that first day in the rain). She then lived the rest of her life from that point forward (in college until current adult), spending 14 years without Sun Jae knowing who she was (but he was alive and she avoided him to keep him safe). Just like in the original two timelines, Sun Jae lived 15 years of his life missing Im Sol and knowing that Im Sol didn't remember him, she spent 14 years of her life missing Sun Jae and knowing he didn't remember her.
Because, think about it! In episode 13, she is in her car and driving BEFORE January 1, 2023. But with the time-travel watch she had in episodes 1-12, she was sent back to the moment she left (in 2023). Which means she wasn't sent back to 2023 with the watch on Sun Jae's wrist. She must've been sent to the moment she pressed the button on his wrist and had no way to get back to 2023.
2. The writer gave us the scenes (in the current timeline's future) with Tae Sung so we as watchers will understand that *some* of the things that happened over the timelines actually did happen (like Im Sol and Tae Sung becoming friendly). So the cigarette and bully thing happened, Tae Sung and Im Sol became friends, etc. But nothing with Sun Jae happened. However, it is possible that since Tae Sung and Im Sol are friends, perhaps Tae Sung thinks Im Sol has always had an unrequired crush on Sun Jae, which is why her crying in the snow about Sun Jae didn't faze him.
3. Since Sun Jae never met Sol, he never wrote any music and never joined the band.
4. Sol never had her accident because Sun Jae wasn't on the bus with her in the first place, didn't ask the driver to stop the bus. Therefore, Sol stayed asleep and went to the end of the line. Therefore, the taxi driver never saw her. The reason Sun Jae felt so guilty and depressed in the first timeline is because he was ultimately responsible for Im Sol getting hit by the car / taxi driver. But since Sun Jae was never on the bus, Im Sol never got off at that stop, etc. As such, she can walk.
From the despair he felt when he had to stop swimming to the elation and hope he felt when Sol returned his feelings to his latest death scene to the preview for tomorrow where he's delivering the same lines in a completely different way. He's been perfection in every single scene. So impressed.

Listen to / read the lyrics. They tell the whole story.
I CAN'T WAIT!!

Im Sol is the real MVP.

In the script for Sol's movie, Sudden Shower lyrics are there: https://x.com/notsoautumn/status/1792558781685174578
But there are some of us who will contribute to crossing 30k comments in delight.
So, again: self-medicate or die?
