yeah I think Im thinking more about the writing and how we are presented with this horrible person the dad and how he is so easily forgiven. it seems an Asian thi g to prioritise career success etc over everything including children spouse. also its not uncommon to see characters like dad who abandon one family tostart a new one and leave tge original behind. Also the writer presents Ex as a villian while the dad is worthy of sympathy when in reality what dad did to ML and his mom was way worse than what ex did to FL. Just a bit weird theu way they write this forgiveness of awful parenting so often ive seen it numerous times now
