I think i saw that they deliberately extended the age gap between the characters from the novel (it was 6 years) and made the FL more immature and girly on purpose like nah not for me. Pity cause they could have told the exact same story pretty much without the age gap.

yeah and tbf thats about my limit anything over 9 years no way, but in the drama they are equals more or less. In this even though the actors are same age they are spelling out clearly he is over a decade older and they are presenting her as childish I just dont like it.

I. sorry but Jang ki Yong is not a good actor he can do angry but not much else his silent pauses and blank stares are really just becoming unbearable plus it's dragging a bit now. I love the FL the father is amazing the stepmother is another great actress. The ML is dragging it down.

yeah but the on screen gap is still a problem Im not enjoying it and it seems pointless but especially when thy choose to highlight it. Everything is a bit too much like every Chinese girl that goes abroad comes back easy, obnoxious and heavy drinking is that the stereotype LOL. Nah its cringe tbh

I've only watched to Ep 5 here arecall the reasons I won't be continuing. The unnecessarily large age gap,
infantalising the FL probably why they have the big age gap. The friends being assholes especially San San. The female co worker clearly interested in ML being inappropriate and clingy but the ML being a total idiot about it. All of this has been clearly established by EP 5.

Now that I know it's gonna be about the age gap im not into it anymore especially as you say it wasnt really that great anyway. It has such potential I just dont understand this weird tendency to push this notion that younger cutie women should be with older serious men. I cant unsee it im afraid that scene on the roof the FL was too childish

Man loves girl does everything he can to be with her she reciprocates. Then he hurts her feelings by expressing regret of something bad that happened while saving her from harm. Her response is to have no sympathy for where hes coming from so she abandons him but leaves him in hope that she ll come back to him. Then comes back but without telling him while she was away she met someone else and is going to marry them so everything he ever did was for nothing. LOL like whats enjoyable about that hes a simp shes a selfish bitch like WTF. PS Reverse the genders and have her do what he does and him do what she does I wonder how the whole thing would be viewed.
