Imagine living in a society where we have the ability to become 80-100+ years old but you are stamped as 'too…
Yeah, in Japan of all places, where it is so easy to hit a hundred! I am wondering if there is a Japanese equivalent of "forties are the new thirties..."
Daemi have resigned from being Digital Content Creators in BOC, but still own the rights to the books, whilst…
So, this is where the interests diverge... But, isn't it both sides have a stake in a continuous (commercial) success, then? Otherwise, it would be an act of self-sabotage
I'd be interesting to know, from the legal standpoint, how much sway KP book writers retain over the show itself, and how both parties have worded the agreement about the intellectual rights... I haven't read the original book, nor follow the controversy that seems to float around about the book sequel, but I imagine drama producers and directors might have a different idea about the story they wanna sell to the public. Some literary stuff doesn't translate to the screen well, or there are some other constraints, or, maybe, the screen version improves on the book. I don't know, how flexible the producers could be with the source material, due to the legal agreements, but if the written sequel doesn't correspond to the vision the producers may have about the S2, I believe there could be a way to base the screenplay on the sequel very loosely, and proceed in the direction that's more consistent with the BoC vision/intents/expectations, and satisfying to the fans. For example, Sammon, who wrote Manner of Death and Triage (and Bite Me too), simply sold the story rights to the producing company, without retaining any control over the final screen versions ( from what I gather, that is).
I jumped when I saw an aerial shot of my Vancouver neighbourhood (where Yanase worked for a couple of years prior to coming back to Japan). I know we are strong in VFX and movie companies, but I wouldn't expect to see this kind of association in a Japanese show!
I don't know if it's exaggerated for the sake of the story, or maybe it's a cultural thingy, but both Akira (not even hitting thirty) and Nozue (a 40-y.o. from Old Fashion Cupcake) think of themselves as old...! It's almost like a downhill ride for them already. However, I expect Akira-san to embrace the life again and follow his heart shamelessly (like Nozue, in the end). Btw, we know he had a crush on the HS teacher, but there is no hint of his lovelife while working in a corporate in Tokyo. It would be interesting if some guy from his Tokyo past would make a sudden visit to see Akira...
I think Art is the only character in Triage who remained pretty constant across all the loops. He was always cheerful and supportive, and was giving quite positive vibe overall. It seems this is how Mild (Art) is in real life, at least from what you can see in BTS vids
Remember to vote for Triage and other favourite Thai BL series and movies: https://kisskh.at/list/1xrDev93 ; you may vote for more than one show. Also, this comment thread is close to a very rarefied 20K threshold. Give yourselves a round of 👏👏
If you figure it out, please tag me and let me know or send me a message. I'm trying to find it as well.
Dailymotion has episodes 1-6 reuploaded by a third party a few days ago. I am not sure if Dailymotion is geoblocked in America, or not. Ep. 11 is a lone episode on YT. Somebody saved all the episodes on Telegram. You'll need to scroll down several days worth of postings
Seriously, what's wrong with the Thai viewers...?! If these are final real numbers for the Thai TV viewership share for the last week, even if Triage EP13 is at a very respectable 0.317, then how come that snooze fest and train wreck in one of a Check Out EP6 has managed 0.280??? Frikkin' unbelievable....
I will re-try it today, 'cause I need a good BL. Just hope the editing it's not as the first 10 minutes, my video…
I'd suggest you give yourself a little break between each episode, to catch your breath imho. Triage shall be savoured little by little, rather than binged on
If they ever make S2, I see Porchay quietly strangling Korn with a guitar string in the season finale, whereas everybody else is quietly nodding from the sidelines approvingly, Korn being the mastermind evil who has ultimately wrecked, or cut short, lives of those around him.
The spin-off I'd love to see would be called The House of Tankhun. He goes straight (non in THAT way, he remains as much gay as before), by washing his hands from the mafia biz, and launches a very market-aggresive fashion brand, findind a personal happiness on the way. It means encroaching on the established competition, which is none too happy. Fur will fly, but no bullets. Fabulousness overload would be ensured.
It seems this comment thread is the most, and only, entertaining product that is a tangible result of Check Out.... I am so curious how is it possible somebody gave a green light to release it to the public... There is the director, screenwriter, editor, cameramen, other cast and crew...then, the producers. I bet they must have seen the final product.... Were they all so oblivious, if not utterly blind, that they said yes to it?
https://youtu.be/fkscWOrHyWw subbed: Tae & Tee chillaxing in a cafe together (if you have ever been to Bangkok, it is in the Chatuchak neighbourhood, on the way to Don Mueang airport). I guess they'd like to make a recurring YT program out of it.
I hafta say Tee rocks this hairstyle that suits him the best imho. He looks stunning here...
