It seems there is a general problem with relatively low MDL scores on any "Gay Romance" tagged series. It almost feels like they are kept artificially low... 8.6 seems the upper limit, which is unbelievable, especially if you look at Bad Buddy, Not Me, ATOTS, ITSAY, or this series...
I don’t remember if it was ever discussed here, but Ohm had a very unpleasant/unfortunate outcome of a friendship with a co-star that was subject to the usual fantasy shipping, and that had an ultimate sour demise. It’s something that I came across in the past, but I totally forgot about it. However, my bf mentioned this fact earlier today, and I thought it would be useful to recap it here too.
What do you expect of teenagers who have been thrown in the spotlight, in the industry that does not seem much interested in anything beyond financial bottom line and success, and does not include their actors’ wellbeing in the equation? (It’s the same problem that happens with the teenage athletes way too often, like with that poor Russian figure skater at the Olympics.)
That’s why I see Ohm being invested in relationship with Nanon very much, and being deeply appreciative and very vocal (yes!) about this. I guess his past bad experience made him realize that he has to work hard on any kind of a relationship, to strengthen, protect, and be ready to defend it against external forces. 🤞 🤞 BBS is a beautiful parallel. That’s how Pat was so steadfast in his love for Pran, once he realized his feelings.

Also, Wai is still a constant "trigger" for Pat at that time. He reminds him of all the things that Wai was/is allowed to do around and with Pran, whereas Pat must be on constant guard and /or in hiding, like in that scene literally... Wai and the guitar wasn't a small scene at all. Furthermore, I also had another thing in my head. Pat still cannot be 100% sure about the exact type of relationship between Pran and Wai. He was in hiding, and could not see their facial expressions nor body language in that scene. We, the viewers, definitely catch buddy-buddy vibes right away, while quietly despairing at the lopsided, manipulative friendship on a display, that we may not approve of, and that Pran has endured, for one reason or another.... It is a testimony to Pat's character and his boundless love for Pran that he lets Wai's behaviour slide and embraces him as his buddy later on too.

I am! I really like how the story has many complex elements and how it provides a scathing commentary on current societal affairs in Thailand. It's quite brazen, considering how the authorities are very sensitive at any criticism. The mood is dark, but captivating. Two thumbs up from me
