Another of my bf's comments that I subscribe to too (he's a latecomer to the series, to be exact): he was alternating between watching the actual BBS episodes and OhmNanon-related YT material, such as interviews, b-day parties, promo events, you get the idea. He is seriously "confused" what's fiction and what's real... what's scripted and what's improvised... where OhmNanon stop and PatPran begin, or viceversa... Due to their otherworldly chemistry on and off screen, and OhmNanon being truly genuine and comfortable themselves, without a hint of fan service, there's this feeling they float between two worlds effortlessly... Again, OhmNanon's situation is probably very unique. I cannot recall any other acting couple who would be so into each other on the screen and irl.
It took me some persistent encouragement to have my BF watch BBS. He’s not a fan of Asian BLS to speak of. Heck, he lost patience to WBL S1 and dropped the series after the scary night episode, even if he’s Taiwanese himself. He’s rather into “Call Me By Your Name” and such… Anyway, he has got himself into BBS, slowly, but surely… He kept quiet about his opinion and I did not press him about the feedback much (you know, curiosity killed the cat…). In the end, he’s got very enthusiastic about OhmNanon’s out-of-this-world chemistry and OST. I also found out that he’s searched YT to check more info on them, all on his own! I believe he saw Ohm X Mint & other stuff, and was enthralled by the Salmon Podcast interview episode in particular. Mind you, he is a uni theatre and acting prof, and his student cohort is in the same demographics as OhmNanon, Furthermore, he’s pretty good at reading people. Having watched the above interview, in his opinion, they are extremely mature for their age (contrary to many of his students…). He looked at them and got a vibe of a very profound & beautiful relationship, without OhmNanon putting any strict labels on it, with the intensity that goes perhaps above and beyond being soulmates or even romantically-linked ones, and where they are not afraid of showing their vulnerability to the outside world.
Tbh, he is stalled after the uni staircase scene for the time being, due to the “cheesiness” overload, but I explained to him the local Thai contest of the confession, and its meaning in the storyline. Talking about “lost in translation”… Edit: he's ready to face ep. 12 now!
As some cars are fitted with mandatory speed limiters, it looks to me MDL is equiped with an 8.6 score limiter for any “Gay Romance” tag show methinks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . I guess a chilled bottle of champagne, petals on the bed, fluttering eyelashes, couple’s bubbly baths, rose bouquets, and so on, must be shown in order to convey the idea a couple is deeply and romantically in love, whereas PatPran are on a totally different level: you have after-beer burps and fist bumps, but also a total respect, patience, and utter devotion to each other. I second Benedict on Ayutthaya. We went on a daytrip from BKK, that also included a meal and a short river cruise on the way back. Another daytrip destination could be Amphawa (you'll recognize it if you have watched Together With Me) and Maeklong and its Train Market, than can also be combined in one trip. Chiang Mai is another popular destination up north, if beaches aren't your thing. It's a charming and laid back city. We took advantage of a truly memorable day trip to a tribal village up in the hills to spend a day with the elephants: absolutely no riding, just feeding them, walking along in the jungle and playing with and cleaning them in the water. The animals were sleeping free in the forest, rather than in an enclosure.
From what I gather having just watched subbed Ohm for Mint, I am not sure if he has time for shooting any extra BBS episodes, at least for the time being. His daily cycle includes enough of a beauty sleep (8 hrs!), swimming and fitness, meals and chillax time with close family members, and power naps! This guy gets definite two thumbs up lifestyle-wise from the undersigned.

Ah, the beauty and comfort of hindsight, Benedict😁! Still, it is a testament to P'Aof's craft the audiences were left shaken to the core for the whole week and two parts before being able to take a deep breath of relief, not really knowing what to expect in the finale in the meantime. Episode 11 is a fundamental and indispensabile part of BBS imho. Honestly, the actual breakup could have been an entirely possible outcome, considering Pat's unravelling commitment to Pran's happiness, whatever shape would it take, and relegating his own desires to a distant second place. I wouldn't change anything to my experience watching it, regardless of tbe fact it left me in altered state of mind. I'd really love to see PatPran brainstorming their fake breakup plans as flashbacks in 12 3 & 4, but I guess it wasn't possible episode timing-wise. Btw, I still recall vividly Ohm being emotional delivering Pat's lines in the red shirt scene. His face was away from the camera, but I have noticed his hand was shaking much when wiping real tears. I found it touching.
