A few fun observations that I've caught in the SIN architectural firm scene in 12 1/4. The Russian guy is the only other character in BBS that must have a crush on Pran. He wants to invite Pran to an after-work party, to score a free bottle of wine ostensibly, but it sounds like a flirt too. He talks about bringing a date, even if a "fake" one. Also, just at the beginning of the scene, the Russian guy addresses somebody leaving the room also in Russian (inaudible meaning). I am wondering, if Russians are some sort of a fetish to Thais...😉 For example, in Not Me, White has followed his dad to Russia to study, where he had a LTR with a girl. He has even some lines in Russian in one of the early episodes. Also, I like attention to detail. During the office conversation, there's Pran's name on his coffee cup written in pen, as it should have been done picking up the beverage in a corner coffee shop.

Definitely! But still, the lingering whiff of suspicion stays... Yes, also, the overall scores are much, much higher wherever it is more challenging to open fake accounts to influence overall results, like on YT, IMDB (9.4/10), or Google (5/5) reviews

Yup & yup! BBS is a gay romance-drama unabashedly. Even if its universe is somewhat idealistic (it's a work of fiction, rather than a documentary, after all), that allowed PatPran's love story to shine through and through.

I found Thailand’s attitude towards gays & lesbians inconsistent, tbh… On one hand, nobody cared that we, as farang & (non-Thai) Asian gay couple, were walking hand in hand, be it in BKK or in Chiang Mai. Mind you, we were just three times there, but Thais gave very pleasant and accommodating vibes every time. On the other hand, the most recent Thai High Court ruling on inadmissibility of same-sex marriage was worded in very nasty terms.
