I am sorry but I couldn't resist to steal, copy and paste it here... PatPran: how to stand by each other's side and not leave anyone behind.... so simple, yet so just and apt...
I know some didn't particularly like how their relationship was portrayed and I wanted to talk about it. This…
Yeah! Where do I sign on it? A lack of passion and/or romantic moments, some say? I cannot⦠I dunno, maybe it depends on the personality of each viewer, but this kind of āthingā that PatPran have is up my alley very much, maybe, because sappy is a non-existent word in my vocabulary. They have a very intense relationship, at least in my eyes, subject to obvious social and space limitations. Nobody is a damsel-in-distress there. Also, they have to be on guard for such a long time, and arenāt really free to express their feeling in the open. It almost like their relationship is very guerrilla-style⦠They have to duck and hide, restore to secret signals in the public. Also, this is not an 18+ show. I guess BBS had to abide to certain guidelines. However, for those in the known, there were so many innuendos, visual and verbal clues as to what was going on between them (from Friday night to the following Friday evening...) that we didn't see, but may imagine, especially in the second half of the series.,,LOL
Bad buddy X Files1. What was Pat crying for in ep 11 ? (Pat you got us good) 2. What did Korn mean when he said…
# 4. Pran, technically. Pat was way too oblivious for too long. He could not really make sense of his feelings until the Freshy Fest and the song. That was his trigger.
"HOW WAI MANAGED TO THROW A PUNCH AT PAT WHEN HE WAS YELLING "It's between me and him" with fierce eyes..." Pat was too focused on Wai's face and didn't see it coming... Maybe he thought Wai wasn't aggressive dude, or even one capable of throwing punches. Rookie mistake....

# 1. It could have been a particular stress of the moment for Pat. Pran's mastered concealing his feelings and emotions since high school. He was confident on pulling a stunt faking a breakup in the front of the parents. Pat, on the other hand, may have felt overwhelmed, his general confidence notwithstanding. He's much more easy to read, and more impulsive. Perhaps he saw that ruse as quite difficult to pull it off. Thus, Pran's "Good luck, buddy" sounds like a cheer: yes, you can do it!

6th is easy-peasy. Pran's left for SIN Changi from a mostly low-cost serving Don Mueang airport (code: DMK), flying on Air Asia, for example, whereas he flew back to the new Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi, code BKK), on Thai Airways or Singapore Airlines, for example. Pat was simply forgetful and assumed Pran would fly back to DMK. This is where he went to pick him up, instead of BKK. I think it's mentioned in the dialogue briefly. Btw, DMK airport is barely 12kms from Tinidee Hotel, the actual location for their dormitory.
8th one... I think he's a live-in employee, or at least somebody who spends lotsa time working around Pran's house. I believe he is a discreet person, and holds no grudges against anybody, having worked for both families. He may have grown fond of both boys and wishes them nothing, but happiness. Perhaps he sensed something, but decided to be supportive. He didn't snitch on them after the music shop spotting, for example. He's offered to accompany Pran to face his mother in 10 4/4 too.
Only 1.5k more comments to surpass Immortality on MDL.
As the title suggests itself, Immortality being eternal, will endure comments to no end. However, we can try to be the best Baddest Buddy around at keeping up with the competition, which is still nothing else, but just a glorious concept btw...
Since I love reading BBS YT comments, Iād try to summarize, in a very unscientific way, what viewers had to say: ⢠āmasterpieceā is thrown left, right, and centre ⢠I am surprised how many are very satisfied with the conclusion to the PatPranās arc in twelve episodes; there is clamouring for S2, obviously, but a simple special episode or a short mini-series seems to be even more welcomed instead; I think many past S2 failures have spooked usā¦. ⢠slow parental acceptance in epi. 12 is hailed as a very realistic solution to the drama; a sudden full reconciliation would feel too artificial to many.
The more time has passed since Friday, the more I think that 12 3-4/4 is pure gold. It summarizes neatly what PatPran are: young men who know what the adulthood brings, but they also do not lose their playfulness and innocence; are serious and professional on the outside, but donāt forget to be super horny & kinky behind the curtains, as it should be; they appreciate and honour their families (regardless of the suffering caused by those very families), but do not allow them to spoil or interfere in PatPranās happiness much; last, but not least, they are totally deeply madly in love, that should last until eternity and beyond.
BBS team chose the right note to end the run, especially in the chaotic and riotous way in the last minutes. I could not stop laughing. It looks like a pure improv. It feels PāAof simply outlined OhmNanon what was in his mind, and then set them totally free. Yeah, fictional PatPran break the fourth wall, and we are left unsure whether we are watching OhmNanon now⦠BBS does not end with The End. PatPran will continue living rent-free in our minds. Even if there are no sequels of any kind, our imagination can do the rest
Ok, if I had to pick the absolute winner, the whole stretch between Wai and Pran arriving on a bike by the dormitory, and Pran leaving Pat after the kiss in 5 4/4 will live rent-free in my mind prob forever. When I saw it the first time, my jaw dropped to the floor and stayed like that to the last shot. It brought chills & goosebumps... and left me speechless... I had to review it several times to grasp everything. There was so much to dissect... I cannot even remember anything like that in any movie or tv... at least in what's left of my memory... I see literally nothing that's superfluous or feels out of place. No element can be removed, but we don't need anything on top what's there already. No word is wasted. Voice modulation and pauses are on point. Every body movement has a meaning. Every glance tells you more story. Bgm elevates the overall mood. Camerawork puts you in the middle of it, almost like we are intruders around them. Truly award-worthy... just my two cents...
There were talks about it, and was also brought up in one of the Google Meet conversations we had over the weekend.…
Yeah, my take on it wasn't that Wai was outing PatPran as gays. BBS universe doesn't allow homophobic attitudes. He definitely felt betrayed by not being in a loop about their relationship. He considered himself Pran's closest friend. His hurt pride blinded him to Pran's happiness. Thanks for the reminder about the recap epis...
