I feel like Pat & Pran in the epi 11 gate scene represent us, the viewers, and BBS, respectively. We will cross the gates at midnight THA time. While bidding goodbye to BBS, we’ll def shed our tears like Pat, overwhelmed with emotions, whereas Pran (BBS), looks at us back lovingly. We don’t know what the future will bring us, but our love for BBS shall endure very much like PatPran’s for each other… I truly sense PatPran is the perfect tale for the modern times. Romeo & Julian 2022, Romeo & Juliet 2022, or Romea & Juliet 2022: call it what you want,,,; it reverberates in so many ways…
Hats off to the dedicated subbers who caught up with the translations in less obvious languages, such as to Arabic, Polish, and Turkish, all the way up to 11 4/4!
I think they rely on Eng. subs as the source, though. One of the translations has missed Pat's quip about "pounding (Pran) hard" in the kitchen scene in 11 2/4 that's also missing in Eng. LOL...
My personal Christmas wish is a super-duper HE, followed by an extended special epi sooner, rather than later (domestic bliss, respective families cordial to each other, sorta foster dads to Junior, maybe some environmental messages...)
Hey P'aof,we all are trusting you that you will give happy ending to patpran.Plz don't Break our hearts 🥺🥺this…
I may be misquoting him, but P’Aof said BBS story is what he wanted to do (had in mind) exactly as a teenager, or smth to this effect. I don’t think a teenager would want anything else than a HE. Otherwise, his mind would be pretty f***ed up
If, in the meantime, you are interested in watching a story about a couple of gay HS boys facing challenges with their peers & parents, and how those parents may, or may not, undergo a change of heart, check Hidden Kisses (Baisers cachés), in French with Eng, subs (2016):
“It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.” This quote fits PatPran’s situation like a glove. I am more than persuaded their dream of being together will become reality literally TOMORROW (or after tomorrow for some of us…).
Deep down in our hearts we know what’s at the finish line for them. It is exciting to accompany them to that line!
MAME... LOL much as I liked the tv adaptations of MAME's novels, a lot of things were so off.
For Leon-Pob shippers there is Just Say Yes! in works. I think they saw the potential in that couple. This is where the time skip makes sense. They were in love but not at the same wavelength in their lives.
Yes, this was exactly something similar what I thought about too. Although earlier on, I thought it would happen…
Can I tag on to your idea? The preview is not a misdirection. It is all true, but only in half! It shows the arc with the break-up. We didn't see the other half that happens in a parallel universe where they confront parents head-on!
Hi everyone, I noticed that both Just Friends and Our Song are both done in a hotel setting. I have seen some…
Cost, convenience, and s**tfest restrictions, I am afraid. I guess all's been shot on location at Tinidee Hotel Bangkok Golf Club (even if the furniture in MV looks different from the actual hotel interiors) Edit: nope, it does not like to me that it's the same hotel
P’Aof broke so many (Thai) BL tropes crafting this extraordinary story, which is not over yet!, and we shall be eternally grateful to him for that. However, I’d really love to see another "revolutionary” element in the last epi… both sets of parents eating humble pie & apologising to their children profusely for once… for their immaturity and pettiness, being adults notwithstanding, for being blind to their own children’s emotional well-being, for projecting their own insecurities and traumas onto the next generation… It may perhaps look like a nurturing environment to the outsiders, but PatPran have been deprived from that very important chunk of happiness for so long, having been prevented from being together. I seldom saw this kind of a closure in Thai BL series, but pls correct me, if I am wrong (perhaps with a few exceptions like, in part, UWMA). At max BL protagonists are happy that parents accept their partners grudgingly in the last epi. At least in some Taiwanese series you may see supportive parents, or at least ones having a change of heart on the way. Maybe new series, like Don’t Say No, will show more of nonplussed parents, if not of wholly supportive type.

- We just like each other
- Does anyone have a problem?
- Right
- We like each other. Why does it bother anyone?
This is what PatPran scream on top of their lungs.
Hopefully the day will come soon when this kind of convo won’t need to be repeated (screamed!) irl anymore

Peruvian viewers are buying an LED display at an intersection in Lima to thank BBS on Saturday the 22nd
