The first episode was a little bit all over the place, but I am firmly hooked from the second episode! I am not even talking about very attractive leads, and supporting characters and cameos (btw, Tul looks good in the hospital garb and everything else; I am looking forward to seeing him as a veterinarian in The Ocean Eyes the series), but also how the story unravels and the plot thickens. Illegal organ harvesting? Corruption? Professional jealousy? We are being fed bits and pieces one by one, and I am genuinely intrigued about the good and the bad guys! It makes me think about Memento with Guy Pearce from 2000. The difference is we are in a loop here, whereas Memento was unravelling from the end of the story to the beginning.
I though that Zhao Li-an/Shorty character from HIStory3: Trapped was an epitome of unparalleled innocence and adorableness, but he has met his match, and then some, in LukChup IMHO. La Cuisine has become a compulsory part in my Saturday Thai BL marathon. It is a very simple story, but very kawai’i/cute & fluffy. From the last epi., I really liked how Ram stood up to Jirachin‘s grilling. However, there is something that grates me about LukChup’s brother. He is at fault in the SM mess. Then, he’s burdening Ram with the ultimate responsibility about LukChup’s safety at the Uni… Btw, if you think Namning’s actions are exaggerated, I beg to differ. I heard from my gay acquaintance a story about his jealous ex who went to great lengths to harass him in private and through his workplace, threaten him in making public some photos, and so on… Jealous psychos are out there…unfortunately…
It was fun to hear Italian in the Thai BL series for once, even if was in the Camorra-like gang context. It seems French was popping out as a plot device more than a few times lately, in GMMTV series especially. It was also amusing the sidekick spoke Italian with an accent that sounded Tuscan, rather than in Neapolitan or some other vaguely Southern one. I guess it was also a pure coincidence, but it matched a photo mural that seemed to depict a Tuscan vineyard in a way.

If you are looking for a straightforward love story, with a mystery and local Thai political intrigue thrown in, then I’d recommend Manner of Death (https://kisskh.at/58899-manner-of-death). No uni students in sight! We are talking about ML who are in late twenties and who portray adult characters. Btw, if anybody was gushing about the policemen in the Ohm at the hospital scene, you haven’t seen anything yet. Check Great Sapol Assawamunkong as Inspector M in MoD, and report back to me… He is a sight to behold in civvies, but check plenty of scenes when he dons his size-too-small police uniform!
In order to quell my displeasure about the MDL rating, I go to check www.imdb.com page for solace. Well, BBS is still holding very strong at 9.4/10 with 2.8 K votes, whereas Google reviews have them at 5/5 with 98% liking it. What’s astonishing, Not Me has 4.1 K votes and maintains 9.9/10 (sic!) score at www.imdb.com. I am VERY happy for both series!!!

Have we ever mentioned another BL trope demolished in BBS, namely marked height difference in ML? PatPran are just about 3 cm apart. Alas , it doesn't apply to InkPa. Even now, if you check KR Semantic Error and Cherry Blossoms After Winter, they both have short/tall MLS; same with THA Not Me, You're My Sky... At least MaxTul were a notable and consistent exception!

I guess Ohm improving his dance skills cold be one of the first challenges 😏 Btw, I have this slight impression Nanon is a more cautious type where it comes to physical challenges, whereas Ohm strikes my as somebody more fearless in comparison. However, I bet they'll come with various kinds of those challenges.
This being a work of fiction, and not a slice of rl, the director has a liberty to create characters as he sees it fit. It’s is interesting how he makes Chu Sang Woo’s appear like a person somewhat on the spectrum, be it the way he deals with others touching him, or many persistent OCD elements, or very regimented clothing choices and the general lifestyle… On the other hand, since we do not know his family background, maybe he grew up simply within an emotionally-stunted household that focused on his education, and nothing else, and that’s why his behaviour is what we see… Maybe this option would make more believable his so rigid persona appearing to be ready to crumble really fast, if the last scene in ep. 6 is any indication… Also, maybe I am reading too much in to this, but that crumble started a little before that, since he is hiding beneath the baseball hat no more for a while already. I also liked Jang Jae Young’s final expression so open-ended, we won’t really know his “side” of the story until the next episode. Still, Jang Jae Young behaved like a real jerk towards Chu Sang Woo at the beginning. I am wondering whether it was totally gratuitous, or, rather, a misguided tease to get Chu Sang Woo’s attention right away… That’s something really unclear to me…
Ohm's, on the other hand, is the epic ep. 5 4/4 rooftop scene/kiss. Heck, I never tire watching the whole part consisting of the ground-level confrontation & the rooftop magic, in all the subbed versions I can read!
P.S. I thought it would be the ranat ek rehearsal scene! Ohm was so proud he even called his dad to gloat about this!
Correct me, if I am wrong, but according to Nanon’s most recent interview, it seems that the ep. 4 4/4 Pat-likes-Ink-while-Pran-is-suffering-in-silence scene is his most favourite. You can definitely feel Pran’s world & hopes are crashing, without Pran uttering a word…
