The air con was keeping the room cool, but Yi could not stop sweating. He was either pacing around the desk nervously, or looking through the glass into the car showroom below. He would fight the urge to shatter this bloody barrier once for all... He'd love to see glass shards falling down like snowflakes that he never saw in his life yet. His tightly-squeezed fist was giving him slight cramps. He heard Diao's dog barking at something, or someone, suddenly. His current life.. it wasn't supposed to be like that, in the end... He was running back in his mind to that fateful night at the oceanside resort for an umpteen time. It was just him and Lian, sitting by the pool... The night felt fresh, the air was intoxicating... Who in his mind would consider it a bachelor party? Red wine was still tasty, even if way overchilled. Some inexperienced chump served it in an overflowing ice bucket... They were talking about the imminent Lian's and Kuea's wedding. He wanted to sound happy and supportive, and he did. However, the only thing that rang in his head was "I love you, Lian... you fool...I love you so much...why would you be so blind and oblivious...It is a huge mistake we both are embarking on...I have nothing against Kuea, but look at us here... We were for each other like forever...We understand each other without much saying...I'd love to spend the rest of my life together..." He's had some hopes after sensual glances they have exchanged a few days prior. Alas, Lian was continuing talking about his love for Kuea, even if it did not ring very convincing nor sincere to Yi's ear. Yi wanted to shout it all, but he bit his tongue at very last moment. He sipped some more wine...not being sure if he tasted a drink, or his own blood... "Where are the second chances when you need them, ffs?" mumbled to himself. He lowered the blinds, knelt in the far corner of the office, and started sobbing uncontrollably. ...
I know the original GMMTV trailers are more like concepts, but this updated one feels like advertising a story that took a 180-degree turn since last year. It gives much less of angsty vibes and appears more conventional. However, all the leads are talented, and were in capable hands. Also, a quite rare 8-episode format could lead to tight storytelling too!
Were I to redraft the screenplay, in order to make it even more perverse than KinnPorsche, I'd make Thanya the mover behind her husband's killing. Then, she'd be betrayed by Kit and Palm's father getting in cahoots behind her back, hence the latest shooting. Palm, to his unbeknown, is a pawn in his father's hands, being perceived as a simple naive weakling, which he is definitely not. Nueng is probably the next target. At some point, Chopper, Palm, and Nueng discover the machinations. Chopper would never harm Nueng and is disgusted with his father's gangsta ways. Palm is disgusted with his father's betrayal. Kit discovers Chopper loves Ben that makes his blood boil. Sons have to make choices between family ties or protecting their real loved ones. Much bloodshed endures: Kit and Palm's dad finish sleeping with the fishes, Thanya succumbs to her previous wounds; Ben's father dies on the military shooting range, mysteriously. Palm&Nueng, and Ben&Chopper become joint business managers, addressing some ethical enterprise matters on the way, and live happily ever after. The End...
Were I to find one English word to describe ep. 1-6 it would be "mellow," whereas the French one would be "chouette" (with a slightly different connotation). Btw, the first episodes have been translated to fourteen languages already (even to Burmese, Turkish, and two Spanish versions!)
GeminiFourth looking steller in these photoshoots! I can't take my eyes off them. BUT LOOK AT FOURTH Y'ALL. https://twitter.com/maLaStiLash/status/1615210014335172610?t=o85x4GCX1xWHMaKFqpuQAA&s=19
Their vibes are def those of Prada boys. I think they'd be great brand ambassadors in Asia, if they are ever scouted for this Italian house.
Is it something new? I've just noticed Gemini & Fourth appear to be a secondary BL couple in a GL series called 23.5 by GMM 25 (all details TBC). I guess they are milking their newfound popularity! Kudos to the guys!
