Aaah, I was so excited about this drama, I tried my best not to start it while it was airing, because I didn't want to wait for the new episodes to come out every week, but... sadly, I was a bit disappointed. The start was good, then it slowly started going downwards, it wasn't boring, but something about the writing wasn't okay, especially towards the end - the last two eps., it was like I was watching a totally different drama. I think I was left with more questions than answers. I wanted to know more about Seo Myeong Ju and why she behaved like that, was she simply crazy? At times I even wondered if she's really Yena's mother and was waiting for some plot twist there. The scene in ep. 12 with "all" students was weird, was I supposed to believe those 30-40 students are all in the whole school? The leads were great, the supporting cast too. I enjoyed the chemistry between Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo, they could've worked out just as friends too. Kim Shin Rok was wonderful as well, she played a detective so well in Beyond Evil, so seeing such a role from her was a nice change. The comedy elements were on point, but sometimes I couldn't take the NIS agents and all that seriously. All in all, it wasn't bad, but I had high hopes, too high I guess, 7,5/10 is the max I could give this ~
A very touching and beautiful movie. Sometimes we never truly know and understand the past of our parents/grandparents, the 20th century was definitely a tough one to live in, it's so sad that there are so many forgotten elderly people all over the world, most of them probaby have such inspiring and striking stories to tell, but there's no one to hear them out.
Now, this is what you call a good webtoon to drama adaptation! Of course, it can't cover everything as the webtoon has 100+ chapters. Lots of toxic relationships, schemes, mind games, violent behaviour and a walking green forest. Whoever did the casting job, needs a raise, because the story lacks in some points, it even feels rushed at times, a lot was happening and some people were left confused, we really needed more episodes or at least a special, but the actors... they were truly wonderful, the chemistry was on point between all of them, not only when it comes to romance! Kim Su Hyeon is a red flag without a doubt, but Jung Woo did such an amazing job (it's funny that he's the maknae in the team xD), that we just couldn't hate Su Hyeon that much and we even felt sorry for him, that doesn't justify his actions in any way, but the acting was that great. It's not the best K-BL, but it's definitely in my top 5, it had potential for even more, but I'm still pleased by how it turned out, mainly thanks to the actors.
I had no expectations about this drama, but wow, what a pleasant surprise! Muto Jun was amazing! This had some interesting topics, Japanese BLs often offer something unique and different. While I was watching this, it was raining heavily, what a coincidence, I guess I chose a good time to watch it xD I wish there was at least one more episode or a special though.
I somehow have mixed feelings about this. Maybe I expected more, because of the hype around the drama while it was airing. It was nothing fresh and new, but it felt like "close to home" drama in a way. I liked how people in their 30s and late 50s were portrayed. Finding the right path is never too late, changing our job, re-discovering ourselves, is sometimes the only way to real happiness. At times, it was too dramatic, at times boring and draggy (the episodes were really long), at times funny, the supporting cast did its wonders. The friendships were nice, the mains looked good together, but it felt like Seung Hyo was the only one who was in love. Dan Ho and Mo Eum were a far better couple for me, both when it comes to chemistry and storyline. It could've been better, but I don't regret watching it, 7,5/10 from me ~
I walked into this with no expectations, but it actually turned into a comfort drama for me. I hoped it wouldn't be too dramatic and thankfully, it wasn't. I give it 8-8,5/10 ~ There were some annyoing things in the story, but slave contracts in the entertainment industry really are a scary thing, you can't leave when you want to. William and Est had great chemistry, the OST was good, the story had some flaws, but I enjoyed this a lot in general. The first few episodes were a bit slower, while they were getting back the band, but they were a good build up for the second half of the series. I started watching this when 9-10 eps were out and after that I found out that the boys are an actual Thai group, which was a surprise, I wish them all the best and of course, I need more WillEst in the future!
I will try my best to ignore the fact that this was super unrealistic at times, both the storyline and the fight scenes. The school system in Korea really is rotten, that's all I've got to say. Leaving that aside, there's something special about this drama and I think it's mainly because of the actors and how well they played their roles, because the story doesn't offer anything new when it comes to a school drama, which revolves around bullying. The OST is one of the best I've heard in a while. I'm glad more people are discovering Minhyun, the first time I saw him was when he debuted with Nu'est back in 2012. The way the drama ended, there's a possibility for a second season, but let's not get our hopes too high. We were left with many questions, which might never be answered, but I still enjoyed the drama, it was a really good webtoon adaptation. 8/10 from me ~
To those hoping for a second season: let's not forget that Minhyun (Gamin) is currently in the military and he's going to be discharged in December this year. So a second season even in 2026 doesn't really sound possible. Study Group was actually filmed in 2023, months before Minhyun joined the military.
This is my 4th drama with Park Shin Hye and it was definitely her best role from what I've watched, it was something very different and she gave it her all. I recently watched a similar drama, which was very hyped, but I was left disappointed, so I decided to walk into this with no expectations and I was very pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed the drama! The cases, the punishments, the developement of the story overall, 12 eps were enough, but the second half of the last episode was a bit rushed. I liked the mains and the supporting characters, the OST, the budget on this was surely high. I wish there was more about the real Kang Bitna, both about her life as a human and in the afterlife. One of the top 2025 dramas. 8,5/10 from me ~
Wow... I saw an article about her death and I thought it was a joke... Another soul gone just like that. Korea will never learn its lesson and will always mourn and feel sorry for someone when it's too late. She was young and still had lots of time ahead to make up for her mistakes. I will always remember her as a wonderful and expressive child actress, because all I've seen from her are her earlier works from 2010 to 2014 ~ May she rest in peace.
Once again, a JP drama which knows how to play with the emotions of the audience. The mains were wonderful, they both portrayed their characters and their emotions very well! Japanese dramas can often be found boring by people who are not used to watching them, they are usually slow-paced, personally I enjoyed this one a lot. The ending and the last episode were a bit rushed for me, but let's say the special episode makes up for that a bit. The story isn't something that we haven't seen tons of times already, but this was very well-made. If you're looking for a BL with a similar vibe, I recommend "Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo", it's a Korean BL which came out 3 months ago and also deals with high-school love and abusive father. As for "Our Youth", there were some things that could've been better, but overall it deserves at least a steady 8/10 ~
Nice, little special, it made the main story more complete with it. It was a nice touch that they were calling each other by their first names here ^^ Both actors have shared a photoshoot on their Instagrams where they are wearing white suits, so I guess that's the closest we'll get to seeing their wedding :D
I finally watched this and sadly... I think I expected more. Great cast and acting, but the storyline was a bit…
They went back to the past and saved the father of Joon Woong's friend. His life was like that, because of his many failures, but also because he had lost his father. When they went back to the present day, wasn't there supposed to be a change in his life? Or they didn't save his father and just postponed his death somehow? Because he did get back to the hospital and spent time with his family. That'wasn't explained properly and there were some other minor plot holes.
I finally watched this and sadly... I think I expected more. Great cast and acting, but the storyline was a bit weak at times for me, some cases were not strongly emotional and didn't have much impact like in other dramas centered around death. The drama had a pretty good start, but because of some cases, it just lost me a little, some stories were repetitive, but I like how they tried to connect them in some way tot he main characters. Episode 6 will stay my favourite. The idea of the drama is still very good and it truly shows that some lives can be saved with so little, only if someone paid attention, sadly we know how it goes in real life. Koreans will never learn, they have showed in on many occasions with their bullying both in real life and on social media. Lee Soo Hyuk stole the show for me, I don't know if his role can be considered main, but he was amazing. His chemistry with Kim Hee Sun was wonderful! I'll give this 7,5/10, because it wasn't a bad drama, but I feel like it could've been better. Some things needed more explanation, like...
I'm a bit confused because Ryung Goo's mother killed herself, yet she was reincarnated. I'm pretty sure I missed…
She paid for her crime in hell and got to be reborn many years later, that's why Ryung Goo had been looking and waiting for her for over 300 years. Her forever punishment is that she cut all ties with everyone in her past life, so she will never meet them again.
