I think whats more interesting than the show is that there are some people who actually tune in to the show to…
We should call some of the comments exactly what they are: Completely deranged, up to hate speech in some parts. I don't know if these accounts just like to troll or if they really hate either of the main characters.
Why does Doha look like he's A.Ied in some scenes??
They used a filter on them, that's why they sometimes look so blurry and white-washed. Maybe that's why you perceive them as "AI"ed. But if you check their Instagram accounts or their videos on Youtube, they both look stunning.
Yeah it's undying classics of MDL comments section how some start with moralizing about FL and end with old-school…
There is a word for it and it's called "Misogyny". >_>
I would also suspect that some people genuinenly struggle to grasp the complexity of some dramas. Not everything is crystal clear, sunshine-and-rainbows with a happy end. Human relationships of any kind can be messy. Unethical. Hurtful. If you don't enjoy certain topics, that's fine - don't watch. But that doesn't mean the drama itself is bad.
I'm not saying that ALOTY is super-duper complex on various levels. But it's also not 1 Simp, 1 Cheater, as some would like to summarize it. It has many layers that also explain a lot. Doesn't make it right, but it puts many things into perspective.
From time to time during the week, I come back to the comment section to have a good laugh at the comments, only to enjoy the series later on. I refuse to believe that some comments were actually written by real human beings. Especially those trashing Ahn Eun as a person.
I'm currently watching EP 2 and I believe that this could evolve into a series that "gets better with each episode". It picks up many topics that aren't just aimed at Korean society, but any that want to put women into narrow boxes & forcing their century old bullsh*t on them. I also appreciate the early mention of safer s*x. So far, I'm enjoying it. And NO, this is not p*rn.
I don't think I saw one person who said he enjoyed the kiss tbh. But maybe I missed some comments. I think we…
It was in-between some of the comments who were, as it tends to be the case in dramas that aren't exactly all sunshine and rainbows, also condescending the age difference / "relationship" between the two and how immoral that is, yada yada yada... maybe they were deleted. :D But good to know that the actual majority agrees that this wasn't some hot & steamy kissing.
I'm commenting before I had the chance to watch the new episodes. But when I scrolled through the comments last week, I was extremely confused. Some people were saying that Han Gi U was enjoying the kiss at the end of EP 4 & was an active participant in that situation. Idk if we're watching the same drama, but he froze after the first kiss. He didn't do anything. And when he heard the nearby voices, he fought to break free. And when he couldn't, he was stuck in that fight or flight mode all over again.
I'm not saying that he doesn't gravitate towards Lee Hyeon Jae. But what I saw at the end of EP 4 was not a kiss that 2 people were enjoying.
