The couple lovey dovey moments are short but at least they're together and they have a mutual understanding of the situation. I'll take this over the super lovey dovey, fall in love fast and then you got like 30 episodes of pure intesified, frustrating angst like L&R. I couldn't breathe after that drama ended lol.

Is it just me? I got this hunch that the tale of the Genesis Hero is about ying yuan. He did participated in that war and helped establish the 6 realms. If i remember correctly one of the scene where ying yuan was correcting her play he was reading something about himself.

Thanks for the videos. I remembered he said in a interview before one of those new year concert that he had a little bit of martial arts training when he was younger. Thats why his martial art scences in the dramas are usually better than most actors and dramas I've seen.

I seriously think the green lotus seed was the memory pill. If you watch the scene where zhixi sends ying deng down to the mortal world she gives her the same green pill and calls it the memory pill. Luming give yingyuan the same pill but he calls it a lotus seed becasue ying yuan's mission was supposed to be secret. Calling it a lotus seed was a cover. Luming couldnt do anything about his memory because the pill was already destroy when he descended and he was already a mortal by then.

I still dont understand the cliche everyone keeps mentioning. Like yes it had all the elements of xianxia but i don't feel like the plot was cliche at all. If anything i thought AOL was more cliche. The mighty prince of heaven falling in love with a naive girl, two brothers fighting for the same girl, all the parent's love triangle and birth secrets, the they could potentially be siblings part, the main guy's mother hating the main girl and wanting to kill her, and the mistaking her lover as the one who killed her father plot. Those were all cliche to me. Don't get me wrong i loved AOL, but didn't really enjoy it until ep 35ish. But to me the plot in IS was more refreshing. Like a more matured plotline. No sibling rivalry, no internal family conflicts, no actual love betrayal, no friend betrayal. Just two imperfect people who made mistakes and who learned to love without being selfish.

To me he always knew it was her who gave her heart, but he didn't witness it in person. He probably felt more pain to actually witness it. It's one thing to know but its another thing to actually see it with your own eyes.

Well she is a plant and not actual living creature with a beating heart. I guess its like if she was to propagate her heart she could lol.

Well the calender does have a heart emoji, so I'm hopeful.

I feel like it was just the main villian using the puppet spell. Kind of like he used it when he turned into celestal beiming to take the 3 artifacts from tangzhou.

This is probably the one drama that have tested both Cheng yi and Yang zi mentally and physically to the extreme. Like it started with the most ridiculous controversy about the leads, then the actress getting backslash for taking the role and the actor getting backlash for something he had no control over. The intense 7 months of filming, flying the whole crew and their equipments to various destinations to film, Chengyi getting injured, the non existance of promotion, the sudden dropped released, the haters sending fake reviews for the drama, hater sending backlash to chengyi and yang zi, calling cheng yi ugly and Yang zi fat and old. Through it all it still came out better than i expected despite the flaws. It had also tested my mentality as well. I've watched many dramas in the past and have kept silent about them. But this is one where I felt my thoughts needed to be heard. Yang Zi and Cheng yi deserves a standing ovation. 👏
