I love love love cheng yi with yang zi, but as soon as the new trailer for this drama dropped, I suddenly don't mind a different female lead. It's like watching a whole new male lead with another female lead. He's such a good actor.
They really like to make Cheng yi cry don't they. I didn't think it was possible to get a crying scene from cheng yi in this drama but i was wrong lol. Not that I'm complaining.
Did anyone know this? 2 years later i found a bts cut scene at the end where sifeng wouldn't let xuanji drink any alcohol at her dad's birthday party because she's pregnant with their second baby! Ahh. This makes me so happy. https://b23.tv/BV1Wr4y1n7tU
i am on 11th episode... this show is so cringey... predictable... and boring...... After finishing "love between…
To each their own, but I truly truly loved this drama. I thought the character development was phenomenal. Both leads were both naive in the first few episodes because that literally their characters. They're supposed to be like 16 years old. Nobody falls in love instantly especially not within the first 10 episodes. Their chemistry is build up throughtout the drama. In Ten Miles of Peach blossom the leads didn't even meet until ep 13. Anyways no bias but i did give love between fairy and devil a try because of the high ratings. I even watched miss the dragon of dylan before. But i could not bring myself to keep watching. Honestly Love between fairy and devil appears geared towards young teenaged girls waiting for their dream bad boy. I could not get past their super extravagant, outrageous, and very western costumes despite it being an asian xianxia. Even the settings appears very westernized to me. I felt like I was watching a bad disney live action fairy tale. Acting felt on and off to me. Also not a fan of the cliche body switching trope and the cliche naive girl crushing on the hottie everyone likes only to fall for the guy no one likes. Not my taste. But everyone has their own opinions and i don't go bash the drama on its page and i also didn't rate it.
Since they're still shooting and this is an iQiyi production, I believe and hope it'll improve
I hope so too. However i am more than estatic to see his martial arts performance. I've watched many dramas and i have to say his martial arts performance is one of the best in dramas. Some actors are just so stiff but his are always smooth. If i remember correctly I remember him saying he had a tiny bit of training when he was little.
Anyone got any info on the background instrucmental music? Also I realized they've never used the background music that was in the original trailer around the 1:17 mark. Not that I've rewatched the trailer for the 1000th time.
I agree with you about the episode 59. I am too, prefer that episode to be the real ending, compared with the…
Agreed! It shouldnt have been a compromised. It should have been them protecting the realms together. It just took a whole 59 episodes for that to happened.
Refering to this weibo, yes it is, in the upcoming Sept 20th, they intend to "celebrate" it by gathering people…
Wow that's awful. Why isn't people reporting this cyber bullying. Maybe if his drama draw the line airs it will overshadow this cyber bullying. Dang the chinese fans are really toxic.
I agreed that he couldn't let go of his responsibilities even if he gets reborn and I like to think that if duties…
I agreed with your point and agreed she suffered. That's why I gave her the benefit of a doubt up until ep 56. But at this point they were on the run, they already declared their love. He was already screwed no matter what. She even said it herself to her sister, love is about protecting everything that is important to the one you love. At this point he doesn't have a choice but to unravel the issues in heaven even if he choose to be with her. He was determine to do both, but she pushed him away so he wouldn't choose her. She still made it seem like he needed to choose between her or his duties where it should have been about sticking together. At ep 59 he choose responsibilities when he sacrficed himself and then she chooses him so she sacrificed herself to be with him. I mean they could have done that like 10 episodes before and save us the frustration.
To me the extra episodes felt more like alternate endings that could happen if they get their what ifs. But I…
I agreed that he couldn't let go of his responsibilities even if he gets reborn and I like to think that if duties calls for him again he would respond and Yan Dan would be right by his side again because they are both selfless people who love and care for their friends, families, and the common people. But to me her wavering was the problem I had with yan dan throughout the drama. Even though she stayed by his side, she was so cold towards him. Even after she realized all his struggles with his duties, his guilt, his parents, his friend's betrayal she kept pushing him away. Even all the way to the end. She kept telling him he had his own responsibilities and she had hers. Even when she found him drunk by the cottage in episode 58 she dismissed his depression by saying why are you drunk, we don't have time. I so so wished she would have said I understand your pain and I will help you shoulder your responsibilities. And she kind of did that when she took that punishment with him. But then immediately right after she rejected him again with the same excuse. It wasn't until the final battle where they both said until death do us part where I can feel her declare her love for him. That was frustrating for me.
What a ride. drama as a whole wasn't the best, but i can tell you yang zi and cheng yi were the best. They were so good that despite all the flaws of this drama they carried it to the top all the way. There were so many good iconic scenes I loved. My first time ever being so active on here. My first time ever buying youku subscription to watch it. I've waited 6 years since legend of chusen for these two and I was not disappointed.
Anyways, my thoughts at how they got revived. Whenever YY gets lost or hurt, they emphasized YD's heart inside him because her heart had healing powers. If she loses her lotus heart she was supposed to turned back into a lotus without ever taking human form again. This is what her sister said when she gave her last half heart to TZ. And whenever he loses control she passes her lotus qi to him to heal him. So to me when he sacrificed himself his last bit of primordial spirit is saved by her whole lotus heart inside of him. And when she crushed her remaining half heart in her hand, her last bit of lotus qi is fused with her lotus heart and YY primordial spirit. Because the incense burner is the token of their love this is where their fused spirits settled. So her healing lotus heart and qi nurtures his powers and spirit. And because he's a powerful sovereign lord his growing immortal powers also nurtures her lotus spirit and qi. So they protect and nurtured each other until they can take human forms again.
Some don't agree with the special episodes, but I absolutely agree with it and feel it flows with the drama correctly. They've got 3 lifetimes like they should have. YY said when he finishes his duties as sovereign lord he will leave the nine heavens and spend the rest of his life with YD, and he indeed did that and I am satisfied. I feel this ending was much better than AOL and ALP's supposedly happy endings, which both were part of the last episodes but did not make sense to me.
Is it true? This is the only drama ever in my entire life that ive paid for a subscription to watch and i feel utterly betrayed. If they dont compensate us I will be traumatized and never purchase subcriptions again.
