Overall well executed but missed crucial parts

Overall the series suprised me with a few twists. Its not usually my genre and i thought about dropping it but the story continued and made curious on how it will all end. If you dont enjoy drama and girl fights, this one is not for you. Each episode contains female "influencers" dissing each other and trying to ruin each others careers and life. The acting was exceptional, marked by unexpected and intense violent outbursts. Each character had its personality, likeable or not. For a little too much personally and storywise there it couldve been more interesting rather than "oh look what she posted". What really bothered me the whole time while watching the relationship between the main character seo ari and Han Jun-kyung. The was a lot of silence between them and most scenes were them just looking at each other. The few scenes they shared were lacking in conversation and interaction, which were almost entirely absent. It couldve been done great and wouldve added so much to the story but they did a miserable job. I dont know what producer or skriptwriter thought a relationship looks like this but it doesn't.

Very Captivating

Ive watched quite a few TV Shows. A broad variety of known and unknown Shows and several countries. Taste is subjective but so far out of the 100+ shows I've watched this is definetly one those i really enjoyed. If your not really a fan of romance and like thriller and mystery stories, where the plot unfolds itself towards the end and you're left baffled, this one is for you. The entire show I was immersed into the story and kept wondering what the ending would be like.

Overall okay, but not astonishing

Im not gonna lie,I expected something differet from the series but its okay overall. What bothered me a little is that some story elements seemed rushed and unfinished. Icould not quite understand the logic in a few scenes. Therefore I do not fully comply with the other reviews. Without giving too much of a spoiler there is a moral question/ dilemma at the end but it couldve been embedded way better into the whole storyline. The intend was good but the way it was portrait and only spotlighted in the last episode annoyed me a little. All in all special effects were definetly okay, acting was also alright, music didnt stick out but was fitting for the scenes. What is missing for is suspense.

Good concept but potential slightly wasted

Note: before watching you should now that the last episode hasnt been released yet. There is a preview at the end of episode 9 but this show was basically not finished.

The concept of a young man who suffers from seeing dead people and being haunted by them in his dreams was quite promising. We got multiple BL couples and some complex characters. However, as many have already mentioned in the comments, certain aspects of the storyline and execution felt confusing and illogical.

For example, the nephew seemed to be asleep almost 24/7. The neighbor was shirtless most of the time—or wore barely anything—and flirted or made out with almost everyone. Yet by the end, he claimed to have feelings only for Taw.

Since the beginning the character that annoyed me the most was Taw. He’s a hypocrite from head to toe: constantly crying, complaining, and acting like the victim. He claimed to be supportive and caring toward his boyfriend, yet he hurt him, accused him, and cheated on him. When asked to get medicine while it was raining, instead of simply taking an umbrella like any normal person would, he cried, ran into the rain, and then went to the neighbor’s place. Totally normal behavior. The way he kept getting jealous about someone else having fun with others and even having sex fantasies while he had a boyfriend and accusing him of having an affair is disgusting. I was annoyed by his choices. Maybe its just the directors fault but overall it wasnt very logical.

Edit: + point, I did not expect how it unfolded at all. The way it did did not make sense at all though. There will be a twist at the end.

Lack of intelligence in the decisions of the female and male leads.

I'm just 11 episodes in, and so far, it's okay. However, as with many Chinese dramas that have a large number of episodes, there are a lot of unnecessary scenes that do not contribute to the story.
What annoys me the most is the lack of logic in the main character’s decisions [Master of the Wan Lu Sect, Li Chenlan]. His actions often seem irrational and unreasonable.

For example, if an entire group of guards you sent out was killed, wouldn't you, as a leader, go with them the next time to prevent the same outcome?

Another instance: You take in a girl who tried to kill you and notice that she behaves like two completely different people. Wouldn't you investigate the matter yourself, even if only for a day? Why not ask specific questions to expose her ? Moreover, the person assigned to spy on her seems to be absent in key moments—many of which would have exposed her or at least raised suspicion. Somehow, despite claiming to be watching her day and night, he always manages to miss the most crucial moments.

There are many other scenes that also highlight the lack of intelligence in the main female character’s [lu zhaoyao] actions. Why does she not use her brain. Everything li chenlan has done was to please her. She suddenly changed 180° degrees and wants to kill him. Like girl, logic? He would most likely sacrifice everything for you and give you whatever you desire. Since I appreciate logic and clever decision-making, this drama has been disappointing in that regard so far.
