I'm not sure why I haven't watched this yet; I practically inhaled Season 1 the day it was released on Netflix. Yet have been putting this off for months?

Although I agree to an extent. But there is almost certainly someone else who did something to her in the past that has affected her to such an extent, that what happened was the result. Obviously there's no proof of this and she may be nuts/control freak but most people who are like that are like it for a reason.
Wasn't her Ex also requesting similar thing from her, she just went to far. I always said it seemed like the actions of someone who had been cheated on and hurt either by someone else or that BF at the time.
