Finished, I'd give it an 8/1,0, which is a high average for me, but nothing special, no angst, and relatively easy going.
Point 1 - I've noticed a lot of comments complaining about the ML at the beginning. I understand it, but only temporarily. He turns FL down in real life, although in a humiliating way in public. Yes, she should get over it, especially after she finds out he was into the real her, not just her looks. Also, if people watched it all in, I think Episode 19, FL understands his actions when she is about to do a similar thing to Su Zheng when he was pursuing her.
Point 2 - The censorship? I've only been watching Cdramas for 18 months and am well aware of this issue, so why complain?
Point 3 - The bit at the end where it appears ML is betraying the company. 1st, why not involve FL other than to add a dilemma. 2nd, a 5-year-old could see a ploy, yet they dumb FL down so she doesn't understand lol
Conclusions are worth a watch if you like the genre or leads, but nothing amazing.
I’m very petty, I think female lead was too forgiving to him. If I was humiliated myself because of his “advices”…
Although he was an arse for humiliating her, His bad advice technically was romantic even if a little dirty tricks to keep her single.
I agree she shouldn't forgive instantly, it should have been earlier, I'm on episode 15 still hasn't happened.
How I saw it 1) he was possibly annoyed by being pursued by women he had no interest in, combined with FL was doing exactly what he told her, which are probably his pet peeves (still went too far) 2) He fell for her, not an attractive woman, the real her, without seeing her; she should be flattered as well as angry. She was the one pursuing looks, even though she claims she wasn't.
So I can only agree with you to a certain degree, plus the public humiliation, it tends to be the other way more often than is shown here.
As a guy, I've noticed that unrealistic trend in a lot of both C & Kdramas, where the FL leaves the ML for one reason or another for ten years or more sometimes, before reuniting. And in most of them, FL has had multiple relationships at that time, seemingly not even thinking of ML. He has remarkably stayed single, pining for her lol
You can tell these are made for women; in reality, those MLs would have long married and had kids.
Is the 2ML the FL's husband a badguy was he involved in what happened to the ML or is he just the husband that gets cheated on because FL's 1st love returns ? If option 1 great not that bothered but if 2nd not sure if I will watch.
Episode 29 how she deals with her mother loved it, same as I would have, well she was nicer than I would have…
Also I may have misinterpreted a scene but was the FL's mother already seeing her new husband before FL's father died?
And like others said below FL abandoning ML twice with no explanation was just cruel,, I understand the motivation from her side for her actions but damm it's the reason I took a several month gap after she ran away to Hong Kong.
If she had originally told ML what happened, like he wouldn't have helped probably would have got his parents to take her in or something ?
He was like that in Boss &Me (2014) as well, if not more so.
It's been awhile since I have watched this, but you must be correct as I did finish this and don't remember wanting to tear my hair out before the end. If it wasn't the gorgeous Xu Lu I don't know if I would have made it lol

Just remembered reading what happens to ML, Hopefully FL is all alone lol
Probably will watch as I like the actress playing FL, doubt I'll like her in this for some reason ?
But I am pretty sure I've had a similar argument about cheating with yourself, So I'm not even wasting my time replying after this.
All this because someone couldn't handle getting a relevant reply to a comment left in a open comments section, which they could have just ignored.
