I really enjoyed episode 14. It was slow-paced but also very heartfelt/heartwarming. They really showed the human side of some of the family members on both sides
hmm that new girl they introduced are we going to witness a love triangle between her and eubin? i wish eubin…
I thought I was the only one who skips ML and FL parts. Am not feeling their romance at all. Aunt and uncle are my favorite sub-plot right now. And Eunbin-Woojae sub-plot feels sooo outdated to me (reminds me of 2010s dramas where the FL would be chasing/stalking uninterested ML)
I was actually looking forward to seeing more of the Amy Choo character, and restart of ML's photography career. Too bad the writer chose to focus more on FL's boring office life
Refreshing drama am expecting at least 3 couples and the storyline of the grandparents I think there’s a big…
It's a bit weird that all 3 potential couples are from the 2 families. It seems most of the drama will be spent with at least 1 couple keeping their relationship secret as they witness their families strongly opposing the other relationships
Am still in ep 4, but ML and FL's company culture is extremely toxic: -The Do or Die design competitions where entire losing teams get fired -Firing designers if sales are low(even though there are so many other variables affecting sales) -Protecting/enabling/rewarding bad behaviour by prioritising brand image etc... Thankfully the ML seems to be calling out some of this stuff
FL needs to tell people around her that she already has a kid that she's responsible for. Otherwise, people would…
Apparently in S.Korea it's hard for women with kids to have career progression because their bosses think their main priority is taking care of their family. So mothers in the workplace ironically end up overworking, all in an effort to prove themselves to their bosses ( I got this perspective from watching other dramas). So considering the FL has a contract position, she might be worried about losing the chance for a permanent position if her colleagues find out she has a kid
The female lead can be summed up in one word: selfish. She chose to keep and raise the baby knowing exactly what…
I think it's a bit more complicated than that. I don't think she's selfish. I think she's just irresponsible and overwhelmed by everything she's juggling at the moment. She wants to have a great career while taking care of her nephew, and unfortunately right now it seems her career has slightly higher priority. Also, she's unable to set boundaries about working overtime, so unfortunately the ML has to take on more responsibility than he signed up for. She keeps forgetting that the ML is mostly in a babysitter role, rather than co-guardian
So the money is really not why I jun is mad at Jae Gyu but the fact that he run away without him. Clearly he did…
After the reveal in ep 10, am still a bit confused as to why I Jun took it as a personal betrayal. Is it because the original plan was for them to leave together? And also, it doesn't explain why Jae Gyu has also been so hostile to I Jun since after they reconnected years later
why there to much hate on this kdrama, for me its good and have good taste of songs cinematography. these day…
Most of the criticism of the drama so far has been about the plot/synopsis. I honestly haven't seen anyone criticise the visuals of the actors in this drama. I'd say these days fans are much more interested in a well written drama than in visuals. Good looking, popular actors are no longer enough to sell a drama. As kdrama fans, we're just craving well written plots. Good visuals are secondary, just the cherry on top
I have a ques guys, how much is the age gap between ML and FL in the drama considering he completed his phd and…
I also wondered how old the ML is supposed to be when he mentioned the Phd. And his friend also mentioned having to study/work for more than 10 years to become a neurosurgeon. So I assumed ML is in his 30s. But I've noticed cdramas often give characters unrealistic accomplishments for their age. So in the drama he might even be in his late 20s
The experience of the children in this drama seems loosely based on the real life Brothers Welfare center in the 70s and 80s. The heartbreaking part is that the stories of survivors paints an even more horrifying picture than what is portrayed in this drama
it makes me miss the fan translations that would give a whole language lesson in the middle of the dialogues.…
I've mostly seen these awesome translations for japanese dramas, not so much kdramas. But I always appreciated those subbers who took the time to add context or explain a joke that would be lost on English speakers
