Texan and Latino fella who likes east Asian cultures, particularly Chinese.  Fell in love with C-dramas thanks to their innocence, newfound depth and wholesomeness that is sorely lacking on American and Western media as a whole.  It's refreshing to see entertainment that is not preachy, gratuitous or goes out of its way to to provocative and defy social norms.   C-dramas, on the other hand, are both soothing and discrete and showcase the romance and intimacy that I hope to have one day.  In many ways they are like Hallmark movies, but also offer more layers, interesting topics and a gateway to Eastern cultures.
