Yes I am sure HJ wasn't chosen by SW, because they only knew each other for 4 days and only had 1 date, and maybe SW was into someone else more because he said in the recent date that he felt HJ don't want to talk to him because HJ gives short replies, so SW must have took it as a NO by HJ in Prev shoot and his interest fade off, but then he again saw HJ in new shoot and felt, he still likes him, so he chased him again by giving the letter and HJ realised SW is still interested in him and it wasn't one sided, so he went all in for him by giving gift and date invitation, also recording SW from d2 onwards in his diary.

MY theory.

I understand why some viewers felt upset with Hyunjun. His way of speaking can come across as blunt, and sometimes he could have expressed himself more carefully. But at the same time, we are watching an edited version of events. We do not see the full conversations, only the parts chosen to air.

From early on, it became clear that his feelings shifted toward Sunwook. Once that happened, it was inevitable that Yunjae would get hurt because his feelings were much stronger. That does not automatically mean Hyunjun was malicious or playing with him. It just means the feelings were not mutual.
As for the doubts about his future behavior, I think it is a big jump to assume he would treat Sunwook the same way. Different dynamics bring out different sides of a person. His interactions with Sunwook have felt softer and more intentional. That difference is noticeable.
In the end, it is okay to question someone’s actions, but it is also important not to turn speculation into certainty. We can acknowledge flaws without completely dismissing his connection with Sunwook.

For Hyunjun and Sunwook, I agree. I am not surprised at all. Their connection has felt natural from the start. It never looked forced or one-sided to me. The pull between them was obvious, even when the screen time was limited.

If anything, the lack of screen time is what made people doubt them. The edit focused heavily on Yunjae liking Hyunjun, so the audience was guided in that direction. But that does not erase what Hyunjun and Sunwook consistently showed through their choices and dates.

Their bond feels genuine and mutual. It was not loud or dramatic, but it was steady. And sometimes steady is stronger than chaotic.

I did not find them boring at all. Not every connection needs chaos or loud drama to be interesting. This is a dating reality show, not a scripted BL drama. They are real people, not actors hired to perform dramatic scenes for entertainment.
If someone only watches for sensational moments, then maybe a scripted drama would suit them better. These participants are not there to create storylines. They are there to follow their real feelings. expecting them to act in a certain way just to make it more dramatic defeats the purpose of a reality show..

Calm and steady does not equal boring. It just means the connection is not built on theatrics, but on reality!
