Exactly! Even though the book that this is based on makes James the main Male lead~ he and Bella are still not paired!! It’s ridiculous. What about their koojin pairing?! -.-

I completely agree with you about the under-ratings of dramas on MDL, I have come across a fair few myself (especially in dramas from countries other than Korea and maybe China)
I suppose that is why I never take ratings and reviews into my consideration.
Instead, once a drama is complete, I specially look at the comments and the spoiler tag.
It’s fascinating how differently we approach our drama viewing experience. Where you appreciate walking into something and experiencing it with your own emotion and reasoning. I enjoy having a complete picture before investing my time into something.

I have been on MDL for a little more than a year, in which duration I have been quite active and observant to be quite honest. I believe I have watched a good share of dramas from most countries and in this process have been able to observe such things. Thus, I believe I do have the capability to generalize the over-hype and over-rating of Korean dramas, especially ones before they even start airing. Example: this one. :)
Also, yes I do believe I will save myself a lot of anxiety. I like walking into things with complete knowledge of what I am getting myself into and dedicating my time to :) The length of this drama also encouraged me to wait as well tbh :P

@POTATOQUEEN I'm glad you are enjoying the show so far! I didn't quite like Goblin plotwise but I completely agree with you in terms of its brilliant cinematography. Goblin's cinematography was absolutely beautiful and I have noticed the same sort of detailing present in Mr. Sunshine's trailer. I do adore historical shows, especially based on wars and that is why I'm paying a bit more keen interest in this show since it revolves around those themes. Yes, let us hope that the rest of the drama is as wonderful as you thought the first two episodes to be!
When i first saw the poster and read the name of the drama I forgot that the R becomes L if in front and I read it as Ra-I-puh not La-I-puh. So essentially as rape not life. SMH.

Doesn’t even start properly and already has ratings 9.0/10 and reviews with 10/10.
Reason why I don’t buy a single rating given to any K-drama. They are always been so over-rated and over-hyped.
