I don’t blame you. This is the thing called HUGE plot holes, which became very prominent when the original writer was changed after the messy beginning. I guess they had different plans for that part of the story, but it didn’t go that way.

I read that there was a disagreement between the writer and the production crew due to low ratings. So I’m guessing the new writer is going with what production team wants to raise the ratings.
