If you want to watch a fantasy drama that touches the subject of mental illness and suicide, in the fast food way, the Mcdonald's style - this is a decent watch. 8.8 is of course way too high but then I know that Lee Soo Hyuk alone is adding at least 0.4 points to the rating 😂 What a gorgeous man!
Is it only me that feel its very slow paced? I have watched 12 eps so far I think they could have been cut & trimmed down to like 4 eps and left the same impact. Maybe its just me who is weird.. sorry.
This drama felt really cheap to me, low production values. I even found it slightly predictable, even though its said the be one of the "twistiest" kdramas out there. But a decent watch for sure.
This drama is pretty underrated. Rewatched it the other day. The main plot is good, good acting & cinematography, good thriller elements and cliffhangers, some feels and even a killer plot twist at the end. I totally recommend it!
For me this series was pretty mediocre. I am surprised by all the 9 an 10s in the reviews, a 9 or 10 is for me reserved for true masterpieces. Last time I rated something 9 on IMDB was 14 years ago, I have never rated anything 10/10 yet. But I guess we are all different.
I am going to try to keep it short - how suicide is treated in this drama is like a punch in the gut for people who are really depressed or suicidal. Its 100% fantasy and so conveniently written every time that after a few episodes you realize "how it works" and how low the stakes are. Or no, there literally are no stakes, no excitement - because you know that they will never fail. I was only close to get the feels ONCE and it was during the war veteran episode.
I was super excited for the last episode though and how they finally would tell what happened in the past between the leads, instead they spent half of the ep on that idol girl's story (which was one of the worst fillers yet, like someone else mentioned) and internet bullying.. what the f...?! Another thing that bothered me is that they at times seemed to forget that Choi Joon Woong is supposed to look like that middle aged frog face-man to everyone else?
Nah, you need to try harder in my opinion. But as I obviously finished it, it was good enough. My rating would be a 5.5/10, maybe a 6 and that is very generous. Slightly above average.
