Been a while since we had an epic korean revenge drama, hope it doesn't disappoint! I miss dramas like "Resurrection"! This one sounds and looks so good!
I think people are being a bit too strict but ending on those last 15 mins really left a bad taste in my mouth. I guess they wanted to show that relationships have ups and downs but man the execution/timing for it was literally the WORST. LOL!
well, i'm not used to reviewing a drama or whatever but let me tell you this, they did absolutely amazing job…
I think most negative comments come from people who simply can't accept that they remade their "favorite show". I had no idea everyone on MDL was obsessed with spanish tv shows. They did a great job indeed.
I tried to watch the original a few times because of the hype but the characters annoyed me and the language gave me a headache every time.
I really enjoyed this remake, it was not boring. Kind of sucks that they for sure have it all recorded already but decided to split it into two parts. Netflix's desperation recently is no joke. Another example is putting the last 2 eps of Stranger Things S4 in the beginning of next month... dirty 😑
I also loved it but I felt they could have had a few more "feelgood moments" especially towards the end, they had the perfect build up for it many times but often didn't grab the opportunity. Maybe it was even intentional? I also wanted to know more about Baek's private life since he is such an interesting character, there were only a few hints here and there about it. A very good drama in any case!
Its a decent show but if you are used to the genre (mad dog, task force 38, player etc), its quite generic. Low stakes, predictable, playing it safe. Its not bad but nothing really memorable either. Maybe a 7 out of 10 from me.

TBH its not as good as I hoped it to be, can't really put my finger on what feels off though. At this point I would even say its skippable if you are used to the genre (and have many other things to watch). BUT lets hope they blow us away with an amazing second half.
