I understand, you do have a point. That scene can be problematic but I also find it realistic. Maybe it’s my Asian upbringing too but cursing your parents especially in public is definitely unacceptable for me. But domestic abuse is more unacceptable and I hope they give us a clearer message about it in the next episodes.

In the webtoon, Bom's dad was able to pull himself together. He got a job and everything and came back to his family but not too long after he went back to his old drinking habits and abusive behavior. If I remember correctly his kids kicked him out and he never came back. Maybe the drama is going to take this direction as well. Abusers will never change and we shouldn't hold on to them just because they were once good to us.
They did mention that he "couldn't even talk to strangers" and he does start speaking a little in episode 2. But…

Does that female librarian have feelings for our ML?🙃
She does in the webtoon and even tried to persuade DB to move to Seoul with her. They might change it in the drama but I did hear a line at the end of EP 4 trailer, 'Let's go together.'
Wait, why's he being criticized about the stutter? Do people think it's not done well or are people who stutter…
No, no. It’s just my theory why they removed it. They might have a completely different reason behind it. Daebeom hasn’t stuttered once in the drama but he did in the webtoon. No one is getting criticized. Relax.
It's better to drop it than be criticized about it.
Yeah I am a little disappointed too but maybe they were just really trying not to offend anyone. A lot of people criticized EAW before but in the end they gained a lot from it. And we haven't seen a single PPL yet from the drama. So I think it's not because of 'business' but it's more about keeping in line with the drama's theme. Maybe they could've made his stuttering a developmental disorder and made changes to make it fit to the story.
They did mention that he "couldn't even talk to strangers" and he does start speaking a little in episode 2. But…
I'm also wondering why they did that. I'm thinking they did it so they wouldn't offend anyone. Because in the webtoon, his stuttering is caused by a psychological trauma but in reality, stuttering is a developmental disability or caused by stroke or brain injuries. Stuttering caused by psychological trauma is very rare.
Same here. I wish Kim Bom had exposed her to the townfolks for her greed...Also, totally agree that kdramas should…
Yeoreum had bad drinking habits in the webtoon but yeah I wish they didn't repeat the black out thing coz the 2nd black out wasn't in the webtoon at all.
How did you already see the two new episodes? I thought they were supposed to air on Monday and Tuesday.
In Korea they release 2 episodes every Friday on Genie TV. Then they release 2 episodes on Seezn on Monday and ENA broadcast on Mon & Tues. Viu Singapore releases 2 episodes every Monday morning for free but with ads so that’s where I watch it. I’m not from SG though so I use VPN.
