Eye opening about Chinese society

We saw in this drama the majority of societal issues in China, how plenty of parents treat their children as investments, they'll push their kids to the edge, ignore their feelings and make sure their lives are fully under their control. It is also why having a male child is highly prioritized and many females were either aborted or given away to orphanages. Many people in China value their image around other people and will protect it all cost. Higher ups always take advantage of the powerless and usually they are not capable of defending themselves, they just get heavily gaslighted and smeared. Injustices like rape cases do not get handled and solved properly, victims would often just be suffering in silence. Even when others know and see injustices, they would rather ignore as long as it is not personally affecting them. This drama is truly eye opening and should make Chinese society change for the better in the future.
