I think he is dying or something, and if he died, the malice energy would go to another new demon so that's why he decided to get killed by ZYC to end the circle and meet WX to spend his last time with her. So I think he had no problem sign that contract anyway.

I think PSJ tragically kill the real one which is still a demon, but the puppet is the culprit killing people.

So anyone want to discuss why would ZYZ fainted when he was talking to WX and there is a flashback about their contract? Any theory?

I wanted to edited to add that the smiling face was in the short flashback in the beginning of ep 6, not the longer scene in ep 2, but accidentally deleted it. LOL

I laughed so hard when he said that CH cut back on fabric when CH made the puppet of the Original Goddess. LOL

Even they killed him, it doesn't matter because that isn't the real him anyway, Their priority is rushing back to save their teammates.

I think the problem with the pacing is that the show is rushing giving out the backstories of the main cast immediately. On top of that, because of the monster of the week format, they need to constantly introduce new characters and their backstories as well. WX's and ZYC's backstories can be delay a little bit IMO.
