At first I was like 'no way this deserve 8.7' and then I check 2125 which is currently at 8.8 so I make peace with the score now.
Looking back, the way the writer handled the FL should be a major red flag. Compared to the novel, her role was greatly expanded but it feels so unearned and disjoined. It's the same feeling I have with the ending which isn't a coincident.
There is a notion in fiction that I'm absolutely despise. The notion of something sad, grim, unpleasant or unsatisfying being more 'realistic' than the opposite. Some people use this to justify their grimdark fantasy novels being superior to the classics which I absolutely detest. I see some people in this comment also use this to excuse the terrible ending of this drama which is quite disappointing.
novel ending and drama ending always different for kdrama like the golden spoon. but i don't hate reborn rich's…
Surviving a bullet in the head without any trauma is hardly realistic. How the murder mystery get resolve is also convenient and cliché. Just because it's a less happy ending, it isn't any more realistic. Sadness isn't equal to realistic, just as happiness isn't equal to idealistic.
This finale shows the current philosophy of K-Drama, you can't be rich and being a good guy as the same time. LOL. That's literally why they change the ending. SK slowly become USA 2.0.
I can understand ML and ppl who haven’t seen Naksu no recognise her but honestly Park Jin, Heo Yeom and Seo…
Even the actress doesn't look 100% the same, she is alot thinner now and give a totally different vibe. I don't think she gets praised enough for her acting.
The scene the grandfather walking in to save the day reminded me of the scene of King Viserys in ep 8 of House of the Dragon. The broken king returns and show people what-up. Both phenomenal actors.

There are 16 eps for 3eps/week, so we would have 2 weeks having 2 eps only I think. Otherwise we would have to wait a week for the finale. I absolutely don't want that.
