Ok, so I just watched LITBC movie version. But, can someone help me understand? In what aspect the drama is an…
Hi ! So both the drama and the movie are adapted from the novel, which is the source material
The novel is split in 4 parts, and the movie only adapts the first part of the novel, while the drama adapts all 4 parts (with 2 ep/parts)
As for the big name differences, in the novel the main character's name is Young and his college female friend's name is Jaehee
Basically, they changed his friend's name to Miae in the drama and in the movie the main character's name is different too
I haven't finished the drama yet but I would say it follows more closely the storyline of the novel which I read (probably helps that the screenwriter of the show is also the author of the source novel)
The movie takes more liberties but I think it's because it mostly focuses on Jaehee, while the novel really focuses on Young
Hope this answered all your questions :)
