So far it is FL who is intelligent, making her decisions and is resourceful...this is till ep8...both have their strengths and weaknesses

This is such a good line! Would you mind sharing it in my thread as well? I’d love to include it there. 😊

Exactly...she needs to stop competeing with FTY

Plus this is a historical drama and as she said she needs a man's help for carrying out her plans...hopefully we'll see her wishes of being independent fulfilled soon as seen from episode preview

Actually if Yake stops competing with FTY now she has the guy's co-operation she can have a peaceful life...her greed, jealousy and insecurity because of which she is scheming and trying to become FTY's equal will be her downfall

Same with husbands

Fan Ya Ke had something unique with her which she could have easily gifted and impressed Madam Yan, but she sold it and bought something expensive yet common...this was also the difference being shown by FTY to ZL on how the wealthy behave

Seriously running away separately with the crooked villian to fight him separately? What happened to the smart witty Meng Ting Hui from Shozou? Who is this damsel in distress?

Not just ancient..happens even now..and even if not necessarily physical harm..there is more than enough emotional, intellectual and other forms of horror inflicted

So the emperor travels without gaurds or shadow gaurds and Chancellor Xu doesn't care? Plot lost coherency from ep 11 onwards and became all about tried and tested formulae with scenes for dramatic impact

Maybe not..seeing how drama is proceeding..it looks like the 4 will find their match..and maybe the lady will find a cure for the zombie making pill

I felt this was orchestered by Chancellor Gu..kill the lady of Tiger Roar Gang and make the guy suspect MTH, just like he sent people to attack MTH and blamed it on the Tiger Roar Gang...make them fight against each other

🤣🤣

Even I have started to feel so...it started with them solving cases by using their brains...now it has become all about dramatic effect

The Midvale faction favours MTH...they wouldn't cause harm to her

Finally they showed Chancellor Gu under the mask..
Also Yan Qing and Situ Xue clearly seems to be from the remnant kingdom awaiting restoration...who is the new villian?

Fu Zhi's character has lost her mother since birth, her father is with a stepmother who wants FZ to suffer and her brother is also not reliable...she has grown up unheard, having to fight for herself and rely on herself, an constantly demand for her share of resources...I find the character and portrayal coherent with the character description

Seriously...that was the ending..all the political build up and no proper resolution. Not happy with the ending...and after watching the extra episode, I wonder how many scenes they have actually cut
