I like how u see the love from each different perspective of each characters.. if u didnt write i wouldnt even realise the irony and metaphor of this love theme in the drama.

Thanks all for the sincere replies! I really appreciate them, made me rethink the series again from another new perspective, and also really want to try starting the novel and rewatch the series again.
When you said to enjoy the series as if to enjoy a music, it’s a really interesting new idea that I have never thought of before!

I take back the 2 reasons for the high rating i stated earlier, you are right, I think there are more other reasons that I didn’t got to realised before and everyone have different taste n perspectives. I also agree on how unique the story line is and now after a few days it does left a strong impression and make me miss it a bit.
About comparing dramas, I totally understand what you mean, I think for a pro reviewer you are right that, this is the unbiased state you need to stay at, to judge each drama fairly and separately. Hehe its just me as a hobbyist, being biased and judging from my own preferences, basically a bias personal opinion i guess.

And btw @ChineseDramaFan, for the novel I shall seal the heaven its called 我欲封天 and the author is 耳根.

I think that’s how the writer wants to portrait The naivety of a teenage girl’s romance hahaha

Such a beautiful and heart-warming drama.. love it so much it’s in my top 10 list. For ppl who shipped JH n DS, they r dating in real life.. for me personally i shipped DS n CT hehe

I was curious about why this drama has such a high rating and decided to watch it completely. For someone who love xianxia/wuxia themed series and has been watching hundreds of dramas, I will say this drama is okay to watch. It's pretty enjoyable at certain points but tbh it doesn't live up to the super high rating. I will say if you are a big fan of BL then you will definitely want to check it out and most probably will love it. But personally, I like TMOPB and nirvana in fire much more than this. I think the high rating come from the big original BL novel loyal fans and the fans of the pop idol boys turn main lead. I do really like the theme of complexity in evil and good in the series and the actors are pretty dazzling. The annoying part was just some really slow-paced fillers, bad CGI n cinematography and some plot holes. I did think of reading the novel, since this series does spark my interest a little into BL hahaha. But as far as wuxia novel goes, I already have a top fave (I Shall Seal The Heaven), so I think it will be hard to read another wuxia novel that has a storyline that can come up to par with it.

Agree.. Alcohol and tobacco are even worse for health than cannabis.. So many people are abusing the “legal drugs” there just bcs they are not educated enough..

Try The Flame's Daughter, the ML are Dilraba and Vin, the ones who played Fengjiu and Lijing in this drama. I personally enjoyed it more than ashes of love
