Yea in order to do ”good” BDSM representation we would definetly need a non-mafia setting. I personally like dark stories and fucked up dynamics that sometimes can include bad BDSM etiquette (looking at you VegasPete:D). But as you said it would be good balance to have a couple with a ”healthier” outlook portrayed. Just some office workers being consensually kinky you knowXDMaybe in the future🤔

I get where you are coming from. But as long as the main mafia guy (can’t remember the name right now)stays in the mafia throughout the show and doesn’t change careers or something no one should use their BDSM etiquette (or potentially lack of) as something to model. We don’t want to imitate gangsters even if they are portrayed as ”good”:D I would be more critical of the BDSM aspect and representation if the mains were two normal dudes (non-gangster). Bad acting is honestly more of a turn off for me than mobsters being mobsters in and out of bed (actually I love shows with morally corrupt mains:D). I’ll share my thoughts properly when I have watched the show🍀

I have not watched this yet, but honestly my expectations are quite low based on the trailer and promo pictures. I’ll still give it a chance tho. One thing I don’t understand however is why some people complain about the bad BDSM etiquette? I mean I would never in a million years expect a mob boss to care about(or even know of) all the intricacies of consent,aftercare etc. It is actually really weird to expect good bed manners from characters who kill for a living and engage in shady business in general😅

In the bad buddy comment section I actually mentioned what I liked about bad buddy as well. And in the second comment on this thread I acknowledged that I could have worded myself better. I wish you would also self-reflect a bit.

Sidenote:
It is not good to judge a relationship toxic as a while becasue of some singular moments. hia lian and Kuea obviously had their issues but they solved them in the end by communicating. I still understand that the show is not for everyone. I mean there was minumal plot and if you don’t like the characters tjen there is just no way you would enjoy the show.

And despite what you might think,I do not have anything personal against you and really hope you can find BLs that you think are helathy (if that is what you prefer).

I do agree that many critical comments do have merit in them. You are just plain hating and attacking though. My point was that I expected older people to not engage in such

I just find it really mindblowing that people are so hung up on the supposed toxicity of this no-brainer show when there are shows like Tharntype and sotus out there. Did you notice that Suibian and a couple of others who keep replying to this thread with not so constructive comments have been commenting negatively under every positive review of cutie pie. It is one thing to leave one critical comment and answer to any replies to that but what is the point on spending so much time on the cutie pie page if they did not like the show? That is not just criticism anymore but entering hate territory.
