I was thinking the same thing when i watched epi 12… where the YeYe Nai Nai who kindly adopted Songge unfortunately passed away on a rainy day when their car got pelted with rocks. Though deemed Acts of god but in a way… there and then i felt that Songge sorta jinxed her adoptive parents then brought financial trouble to the Chen Family with her illness too. Though of course noone wanna born sickly…
Ok the empress switched Cang wang’s son with her own son. Therefore Mao Cheng prince was raised as Li Yan, while real Li Yan died. But I don’t understand why would there be two babies on the Empress bed coincidentally?? Her own son logically in her chambers but shouldn’t Cang Wang’s young baby at his own manor with his own wife? Weirdly scripted.
Don’t understand why QiYue stood behind Xiao Xuan and Not tap his shoulder? She expects him to auto turn around for the dance, expects him to be a psychic to know she is behind him or have eyes behind his head? Everyone taps the one infront of them except her!!! Obviously he doesn’t know and is clueless… she still kept “scolding” him 笨蛋 so many times… Aiyoh! Most guys are not the worms in ya stomach you know…
Just want to comment on a trivia: Gosh!! Xia Meng (Princess Chun) appearance in episode 2, she is like the doppelganger of the young Yang Xue then (remembered her as the evil XiMa Ping Ting in Blade Heart 2004, though currently she is 47…) They both could pass off as mother and daughter!

Find this season very toxic! Hard to watch their feuding/interactions between Pang/Li & Wei/Gu Rui. Thought this show is about finding love! So i ditched it when the gossips and feuding starts… Yicks!!!

Chatting with Pang Pang is utterly exhausting for Wei. Her incessant grilling is truly unbearable. What’s worse is how she seems remarkably skilled at being MEAN to someone she claims to be “interested” in. Instead of holding a proper conversation, she defaults to being curt and sarcastic, constantly putting him on edge.
Her egotistical pride is super glaring. The moment she said, “I just want to conquer him,” it became clear that she isn’t emotionally ready to date or be in a relationship. That mindset feels immature and juvenile, more about winning than connecting. I wonder how her bestie tolerate her… probably babying her all these while! She Needs to Grow Up!!
Gosh, seriously? Why would Pang Pang go full drama-queen and cry to her bestie, demanding he “takes her side”? The coversation between Pang and Wei is somewhat ridiculous too…
What a fragile hearted lady Pang is over a mere convo!! Yes, she can be annoyed that Jia Wei wasn’t upfront about choosing a date with Ming Xuan and not her with the excuse to Xuan that Pang was too quiet for him though he said differently. Fine!
But does she really have to interrogate him like he’s on trial? Mocking him saying i am just enjoying looking at you putting up a front all these while and see how long you are going at at! Errrr…. Please. Anyone would run for the hills, especially an introverted guy like him. Why does Wei gotta explain his behaviours to Pang at all?? Who is she to judge him even if he is actually pretending or not…??!!
She should’ve ended the chat the moment Wei stayed polite but no, she had to crank the theatrics to max level. Wei literally spelled it out to her he’s more into Gu Rui on their 1st date. So not choosing Pang on second date is completely reasonable.
So why is Pang harping and obsessing over his personality like she’s doing a character audit? It’s pushy, it’s uncalled and honestly… yucks behaviour! Then Crying to her bestie demanding support!!? Over what?
In short Pang’s Big pride/ego got bruised that’s all basically!! Speaks ALOT about her character actually from their short covo! Why need to critically judge Wei for his behaviours? Not the right time, Not her business nor her rights to do so when he did nothing wrong to her…

Woah… Meng and Xi Yao’s faces were visibly upset and disappointed when they weren’t voted to stay on the island. Completely agree with the islanders’ decisions not keeping them.
The interactions between Teng and Pu absolutely sweet and even sizzling at times!
Tao and Tong are both such teasers! Their playful banter and “mouth wars” are seriously entertaining!
The little band on Ma’s ring finger is glaringly obvious… him being so eccentric, so can’t tell if this little band is a styling choice or symbolic of something personal especially on the left ring finger!
Disliked how Xue Xi Yao intruded on Xiao Ma and Kong’s date. She had the nerve to persuade Ma to give her his moon stones so she could stay longer—just in case her “lover boy” Xiao Meng returned to the game. She is now in a situation where she “can’t” make a move on other guys since she sorta paired up with eliminated Meng… yet she doesn’t want to leave the show.
Seriously? Ma wasn’t even interested in her to begin with! Her actions clearly broke the rules, and poor Ma ended up feeling pressured to place his moon stones on her scale too... What a sly and manipulative move from Xue! Pretty distasteful behavior!
