Title Immortality
i won’t expect too much from this, i just started the novel and from the very beginning MoRan is a douch, sex-crave…
I don't know what kind of bromance you are talking about because the novel is explicitly BL. If that's the case, ofcourse the series has to be bromance. The reason why they changed Rong into a woman and Shimei. I'm sure they will maintain the necessary bromance between Moran and Chu Wanning Don't expect the "bromance" you saw in WOH.

Hopefully they keep the main plot intact and some of the scenes. I am not too demanding since they have made Ye…
It's actually Shimei and the Rong prostitute whom Moran robbed turned in female. Ye Wang Xi is a female in boy's clothes, a tomboy and her love interest was Nagong Si in the novel

I have gotten to wondering what really makes this drama worth all the anxiety and anticipation from the people...…
I'm rereading the novel to remind myself of supporting characters who were in these tragic arcs of Husky and his white cat Shizhun /2HA

I understand why the series was delayed although I was frustrated. People are crazy over Word of Honor now. Immortality needs it's own time where there are no Chiniese BL series airing in it's time slot.

Maybe you can try Hwang Ji Ni or Damo. Older historical dramas of hers but they are really good. I think Damo…
Actually since I dived in bromance world, I rarely watch historical romcoms, infact I don't have any favourite actress in romcom genre. I want dramas with either a strong female or male lead with little or no romance, dramas like six flying dragons, Arthdal chronicles etc.

Where are you Ha Ji won. I miss you. I wish you come back with an epic project like Empress Ki.

I watched both Hwang Jin Yi and Empress Ki but I would definitely recommend Empress Ki. That drama has all. One won't feel the weight of 50 epsiodes since it has a fast paced story amd no draggy scenes. Both are good but Empress Ki is addictive and it has real life scenarios not some fairy tale we see in historical romcoms.

I haven't watched this drama....just reading through comments to see if I should. I'm fine with long historical…
I understand why you are lost with the Untamed. If you didn't read the novel first, you would absolutely be lost and ask yourself why this and that happened. So I would suggest if you have the time to read the novel on which the show is based on, " Mo Dao Zu shi, the master of demonic cultivation " by Mo Xian Ting Xiu. It's a BL web novel. So if you are watching for the historical feel of it, this may not be your cup of tea because it's a Wuxia cultivation world with martial arts, a story with two male protagonists who originally are romantically intimate in the original novel but turned into bromance. It's not a typical historical Chinese drama. So don't be shocked when you see Wei Wuxian being clingy towards Lan Wang Ji. The high ratings ofcourse come from the readers of the novel and people who love seeing chemistry between the male leads. I watched it without reading the book (I had almost dropped it on ep 2) but thankfully I didn't because the earlier episodes make sense in the middle of the drama. I read the book after and the show did amazingly well.

hope your opinion doesnt change, mine didnt and we have similar ones!
I see you have same tastes like me, a show which has a lot going on and not focused on romance or one whose focus isn't romace. Then you would definitely enjoy six flying dragons, tree with deep roots and Queen Seondeok.

The buzzing too much was around this drama that intensive my disappointment.
I'm from finishing it but I'm pretty sure I missed out some details because I have questions and many of them. I didn't watch the drama with the reason relating to any of the actors but it was the title which baited me "The King Eternal Monarch"

This was my first complicated K drama ever. I had issues with differentiating the two worlds which I adapted to but my head started to hurt when time travelling started to a past timeline (1994) . I'm a sucker for time travelling. I loved it in moonlovers, faith and Live up to your name but I had serious issues here since I had to pay attention with the look a likes in place. I don't know why but I loved the bromance between Eunseop and Jo Young than the romace of the leads. Woo Do Hwan stole the show for me. Lee lim was a formidable villain but I just didn't understand the reason behind his actions. It is this kind of show where supporting characters shine more than the leads.
