This says there are 10 episodes and Netflix has all 10 at least when I watched it yesterday and today.
That episode really sounds familiar. I binged the whole series in one weekend, so the episodes blur together. Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you. I looked on Youtube and it is not there either. Nor is it on Viki. Those are the only two places I know to look.
Resa, the 8.9 is the average score of all raters. This includes everyone who has rated the drama with different accounts. The verified rating is the one you should look at which is 9.03. This number is the one that attempts to take out all the multiple ratings from the same person. This is the first time that I have seen the verified rating higher than the average rating. Most dramas have a higher average rating than a verified rating. There are many that the average and verified ratings are the same. Part 2 of this drama has an average rating of 9 and verified rating of 9.09.
If you were the male lead would you tell the woman who has repeatedly called you friend and told you that she…
Thanks for your thoughts. Another poster wrote that Mu Dan wore the bridal gown of a main wife (green and red), not one of a concubine (all red). I wonder if the writers purposely call her a concubine because she herself does not consider herself worthy of the title main wife even though she acts like it? In the second half I am sure the emperor will decree that she is pure, virtuous, and worthy to be called the main wife.
For me, it goes back to what you were saying that he already considers her the main wife. He wouldn't take in another concubine, but has to to keep up appearances. Just like the emperor has to go the consort given to him by Prince Ning even though he really loves the empress.
Because his entire family was killed by unknown persons, this is what he is investigating in the opening scenes…
I understand what she is getting at. There are places in the drama where I feel Leo Wu overcompensated in his acting. Don't know if that was him or the director, but it didn't detract me from liking the drama. Overall he did an excellent job.

I understand. You have the right to feel that way. There is one place in the drama where I feel much like you. He over compensates, but it didn't detract me from watching the rest of the drama.
If you were the male lead would you tell the woman who has repeatedly called you friend and told you that she…
No, you did not spoil anything for me. I have watched all episodes. I agree. Do you understand about the rules for concubines? Since she is not the main wife, but the first concubine does she have authority over the other concubine? I sensed that in the drama she does, but she didn't get a say in him getting another one, so am not.

I agree and that is what he is doing acting like things don't bother him, but they really do because he knows he's love in with her. She is the same way.
Also, I felt Mudan was trying too hard to make herself look like a money minded and only moneyminded person infront…
If you were the male lead would you tell the woman who has repeatedly called you friend and told you that she didn't love you, that you loved her or even hint that you loved her?
This is a troll. This person has 443 plan to watch dramas and completed and rated very highly other feminist dramas. Don't think the person even knows what feminism is.

I disagree with you. Anger is a very human emotion. Different cultures have different ways of expressing anger. In Korean dramas I see people clinching their hands into fists when they are angry. LBY's face will soften throughout the drama in the first part as he talks with and falls in love with Shao Shang.
LBY's character is a very serious, angry character because of the injustice his family and the people of the Lone City suffered. He feels the guilt of surviving and not being able to find the people responsible for the massacre.
I work with angry people every day. Their facial expressions are exactly like LBY's.

For 15 years Ling Bi Yu (LBY) has investigated his family's and the people of the Lone City's deaths. In episode 1 the emperor has ordered him to drop the investigation and just move on with his life. Wouldn't that make you angry all the time and feel like the whole world was out to get you? No justice for all those people including your family.
When he meets Shao Shang's great uncle he finally learns why the soldiers could not save the people. The city's armory was stocked with inferior weapons. The great uncle has told LBY who switched the weapons.
His character will remain serious and angry looking until he meets Shao Shang face to face. Throughout the drama she will slowly help him learn to enjoy life, but not forget his mission of revenge and justice.
In episode 3 but I have a question: why does the ML acts as if the whole world is his enemy?
Because his entire family was killed by unknown persons, this is what he is investigating in the opening scenes of the drama. Shao Shang's great uncle was a part of this and leads Ling Bi Yu to another person who replaced good weapons with inferior weapons.
Who are the actors? Maybe I could help you figure out if they are a major part of the story or one or two episode…
Liu Rui Lin plays the third brother of the male lead. He is after the throne himself. His part is hit heavily in the first 20 episodes and then sprinkled throughout the rest with him coming back in the last few episodes. His character is one of the villains. The drama is worth watching for him alone as he is excellent in his role.
Dai Gao Zheng I do not remember him. He must play a small role or one that is not heavily focused on.
I still did not watch this drama simply because I am not into the main a tor and actress so because I don't care…
Who are the actors? Maybe I could help you figure out if they are a major part of the story or one or two episode characters. I happen to start liking Yang Yang and Zhao Lu Si from this drama. They turned me into a cdrama fan. But not everyone likes them and that is okay.
I really like him in Nirvana in Fire. He is very young in that one and really funny. You might like it.
Thanks for the discussion.
