I usually hate breakups in dramas, but for some reason I kind of liked that they broke up here, anyone else agrees? I even replayed the scene with their breakup OST playing in the background to feel the feels lmaoo. Hu yi tian usually has the same stoic expressions, so its nice to finally see some raw emotions in the breakup scene, which is also beneficial towards the plot progression.

Yall on the contrary I think Doha's mum is the murderer. She probably thought that ex was holding her son back and got rid of her only to freak out that her son confessed to the murder. I dont see anyone else around Doha with a motive for killing his ex girlfriend.
