Nah you can't compare them like that. Changyu is a brave girl since childhood and her father taught her martial arts as well so she can protect herself to an extent
but qian on the other hand is not as brave as changyu and she don't know how to fight. (as far as I know) So the only way she sees in front is to make them believe her so she can find a chance to escape.
If she had any other way to leave, she would never obey him.
Why does most of the cdramas have this phase where one of the leads hide their identity and lie to the other lead!? 😭 In this drama it's understandable because a huge aah general can't just reveal his identity to the local while the war is still on.
