Tired of others being blamed when someone attempts a suicide in k dramas. It’s unnecessary and one of the worst tropes out there.
I really like the wife and son- they really suffer with the dad’s insecurities towards success and comparing himself with those around him. Will be interesting to see how he overcomes all of this and hoping that he doesn’t drag his family down with him too much.
I still don’t get why the father has a stick up his butt after all this time. Is what your son did really that bad? He’s so stubborn for no reason, and we are somehow supposed to feel sorry for him struggling and working hard to become an electrician. No thanks.
So glad they made Eun O’s brother not an insufferable jerk anymore. It’s nice to see them bonding as a family again, and that he’s not screwing up (so far).
I couldn’t stop laughing at the promotional video. It was so 90’s cringe, especially the silhouette dancing. Such a fun show! Too bad whenever that awful son comes onscreen I immediately get angry and lose that cozy feeling. He needs to go away already.
Love how the leads are having adult conversations and talking through their problems instead of the usual k drama screaming and misunderstandings. I hope this continues.
This show is quickly becoming my favorite show this year (along with Our Unwritten Seoul). Everyone is so wholesome (asides from the gross ceo/son duo who can go to hell), and Tae-Poong is the greenest flag. I was crying with him when he was with his mom and was rooting for him to finally have a win since he deserves it. It’s nice that the FL, who is a hard working woman with no financial means, is the hero for a change.
Love how warm and supportive the moms are on this show.
Can’t wait until tomorrow. How is he going to get out of this mess?
Trying to slog through episode three which bums me since I like both leads. Tired already of FL being drunk and dumb all the time. And why you staying at a seedy motel- I don't care if the ML made you not stay at the beautiful house. It’s dangerous.
Hopefully the story picks up soon once they have to live together and eventually fall in love. Their chemistry is very good and the second leads are interesting.
When it comes to the store, I don’t think they make a high profit margin but enough to make a living. In greedy…
You’re right, I just didn’t get the mindset from the Chairman since he always bought chocolates for his son there and knew the owner. Wish there was a scene where he ate the chocolate his son gave and had a change of heart, instead of the way the storyline went.
Enjoyed this drama a lot. It had a lot of funny scenes in it, and like others mentioned there was no awful villain to bring the show down. There was no bully at work, and the ML wasn’t a jerk heir like in other dramas and always had a good heart. Even the cousin and chairman weren’t completely awful.
I also loved how every episode centered around one of the chocolates and we got side stories of the flavors in the chocolate. The one issue I had was the dad’s dumb business mind. You have a very successful high end chocolate store, yet you want to mass produce chocolate in stores and shut it down? With that high of a profit margin, why would they be losing money?
FL threatening people on the phone is getting stale and boring- try something else. I’m glad nobody is scared of her anymore and her threats are finally coming back to bite her.
ML and FL still haven’t learned to communicate 9 episodes in. Poor Ji Yoo has the worst parents- every time she wants the truth, she gets a blank stare from both of them.
I never understood why minions just took beatings from these CEO jerks. Just hit them a few times and they will stop bothering you. K drama workplace violence is nuts.
What a dumb FL. She’s been smart this entire show but completely messes everything up. Why would you meet an assassin alone without any backup? Can’t even write anymore since I’m still flabbergasted.
The attorney is a pretty smart guy, so there must be a reason why Yeong ran is still in the town and he hasn’t freaked out that her mom found her. Have the psychopath daughter plan a hit on her and catch them in the act, so she goes to jail. Nothing else makes sense.
Daughter is seriously a psychopath and definitely the wild card since we don’t know what she will do next. Brother is crazy but seems like a dumb loser who doesn’t contribute to the story besides being a douchebag. The “friend” is just there and annoying, along with the mom who is an awful person.
Wow, I didn’t even recognize Han Hyo Joo in this. She is so good so far and am liking the lead actor. I don’t watch many J dramas, but this one is cute and funny so far. Plus, the chocolate!
The mom is absolutely awful. It was bad enough thinking she’s using her daughter for her liver transplant, but this is so much worse. The way she treated her poor son made my blood boil- she made his illness all about her. And she keeps calling Seong Jae lazy and not ambitious which is completely untrue. He has so much money and is investing in start ups- does that sound lazy to anyone? I hate her so much.
How does this show keep getting better and better? Loved all the twists to this episode, and I really do hope we see the Pyo trader CEO and gross son get the bad karma that they deserve. Sooner rather than later preferably.
Glad I was wrong about the manager- I thought he was purposely sabotaging the company but he’s a good guy.
The shoe scene was so much fun. Lee Junho looked like he was having a blast. Same with the beach scene- I’ve lost count on how many cute moments this show has had so far.
Not reading the contract is their own fault. After that u can't blame the other party
When she incredulously said “there’s a second page?” it was the freaking page they signed. I wish they didn’t make them so incompetent to further the storyline.
Why is nobody talking about Yeong Rye winning Miss Seoul? The drama didn’t even show us how she won it. I can’t…
Figured this was going that route which is why I stopped watching last week. Thank you for this post so it re-affirmed everything incase I caved in and watched this week. No thanks.
